Didn't Midori use Rach 3?

I posted the pbp by Sportsnavi on the JO thread in GSD.

Only had *1* viewing of Mao's "Rachmaninoff" today and instantly fell in love. Imho it's her best program ever. Period. With this program she can go head-to-head with Yuna and win. *bow*
Just one suggestion, new costume, less is more. She doesn't need anything superfluous to take away from her stunning elegant classical body. And personally if she were to cut her hair and put on some dramatic make-up I think it could only help. Totally transform herself physically. She already has the goods, the program, et al, now for a new "look". Jmho.
I posted the translation of her interview about her costume on the thread of Japan Open in GSD. She said she felt her costume showed the inner power coming out of her body.
Thanx to Sylvia. She posted the links of more photos and an English article on the same thread.
Love the silhouette of her skirt when it opens.

They had a media day for GPS on October 6. She didn't tell anything new but you can enjoy the photos of Mao, Daisuke, Nobunari, and Satoko.
Here is a funny episode to tell. They have a all-over advert bus. The photos of the skaters who participate in NHK Trophy(Mao, Satoko, Daisuke and Mura) are printed on the bus. And on the media day the skaters who participated in the media conference of the GPS(Mao, Nobu, Dai and Satoko) wrote their autographs on it. Nobu, as loveable as always, wrote his autograph on Mao's photo and a part of his autograph looked like mustache of hers (just like a graffiti). http://www.nikkansports.com/sports/n...6-1200612.html Ｐeople there larughed a lot. Nobu said "sorry Mao-chan" and "I'm OK with it if done by Oda-san", said Mao. http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20...000036-dal-spo Love them.
Ｐｈｏｔｏｓ (presumably) in timeline.

I'm a translation nut these days.
NHK got their official youtube channel for NHK Trophy.
They've already put two videos there.
This video shows the ad-bus I wrote about in my post above. Love them! It seems the media conference was held at a hotel and after finishing it Mao, Nobu, Dai, and Satoko went out of it and wrote their autograph on the ad-bus. So funny they seem unnatural under pressure to walk along the passage with the camera clue. Out there Nobu wrote his autograph on ....see the vid!
On the other side of the bus they wrote their messages.Mao: eh? Oda-kun!
Nobu: OMG. oh no? Too big! Lke mustache.
Nobu: Gomen(=Sorry) Mao-chan.
Mao: Mecccha kabutteru jan(=Just on my picture)!
Nobu: Mecccha gomen (=So sorry).
telop: Oda wrote his autograph once again later.
Nobu(to Mao): I was told to write big one so I started with big letters and then I noticed...Ugh...!
Side note; Nobu and Mao have been in good relations. e.g. Nobu invited Mao(Kozuka and Yukari as well) to his marriage.Mao: Aiming at Sochi.
Nobu: With all my strength.
Dai: With all my strength!!
I'll post the translation of the second video later.
This one shows the NHK Trophy Press Conference. Mao, Nobu, Dai, and Satoko were interviewed. Shizuka Arakawa worked as a special interviewer. Domo-kun, Usaji and Ta-chan(they also show their skate at "Domo-kun on Ice" which is the intermission show) escorted the skaters.
My translation from Japanese:
2:31 To everyone
MC1: What do you feel at this stage of the season?
Daisuke: Telling myself "Nothing special", "Don't think too much" or "Don't be driven to desperate". I'll keep them in my mind throughout this season".
Mao: I'm feeling Sochi season has started at last. I want to keep the importance of each competition in my mind one by one.
Satoko: I can be so nervous since I make debut in the senior field. Even in such a case I want to show good performances.
MC1: Are you nervous right now?
MC1: Are you all right?
Nobunari: Since this is the Olympic season, in this summer my preparation had been faster than usual. I want to face the season with stout heart.
3:31 To Daisuke Takahashi
MC1: Now let's change the topic into NHK Trophy and Sochi Olympics.
(to Daisuke): You said this season would be your compilation of your life as a competitive skater. With what thought do you face NHK Trophy?
Daisuke: I didn't expect myself to skate this long. This is the ninth participation in NHK Trophy. I'm very happy with the participation. I want to show my good performances to people who support me. I'll try my best to show what I can do at the point. If people are pleased with my performances and say "Glad to see them", I'll be very happy.
MC1: I think many of your fans are expecting you to win.
Daisuke: I know that. However, actually it's very hard to win at the NHK Trophy. I think it is one of the toughest. It's hard to be in the mix for the medal contenders. So I try not to think too much this time. I'll focus on what I can do. If the result is good, I'll be happy with it.
Mc1: What are you addicted to recently?
Daisuke: I got addicted to football juggling. I like it but I'm not good at it at all.
(to Mao): My football juggling is awful, isnt it?
Daisuke: hehehe It's awful.
Mao: The same level as me.
Daisuke: Her way of football juggling can look more masculine than me.
MC2: How many times can you bounce a ball on your foot?
Daisuke: At my best 14 times. Very low level. Sorry (to make you disappointed).
MC1: So you can bounce more, Asada-san?
Mao: No, no. 4 times. At my best 4 times. hahaha
Arakawa: What did you focus on during the off season? What have you prepared for this season?
Daisuke: My weak point is quads. So I've been worked on them selectively. Because you cannot aim at the medals without quads. Apart from that I've worked on the programs as my daily work. That said, I've been focused on quads.
Arakawa: Now I want to ask about your programs. With what thoughts do you skate your short program and the free program?
Daisuke: I like both of my programs. I think my programs can be touching ones if I skate well. But to skate well is the difficult thing.
Arakawa: Your free program is to Beetles Medley. The numbers are loved all over the world. Among them do you have any favorite one?
Daisuke: The fourth number. It's "In My Life". To it I draw a figure. I draw "s". It means "s" from "skating". And after that there is a choreographic moves with my arms(side note: Actually he draws a heart in the air). Lori said to me that she wanted me to express the thoughts by the moves. The thoughts such as "appreciation for the people who made the history of figure skating", "appreciation for the people who love me" and "appreciation for the people who see my skating". I focus on the expressions to show the appreciation in that part. It's not easy since it is in the second half. I feel it's new for me. I want to do it effortlessly although it's not easy.
.....to be continued
I'll translate the rest of the video....maybe...tomorrow.
My Englosh is not good. I'm doing this just for fun...I hope you can get the main idea.
Please don't get mad if I make some mistakes or can't translate the nuances well. Please!

7:47 To Mao Asada
MC2: Now we'd like to interview Mao Asada.
(to Mao) You won NHK Trophy last year and it was the first win in the four years. What did you feel?
Mao: Although I won, I didn't achieve the level I was aiming at. So I felt regretful. I had a lot to work.
MC2: I think your fans are expecting your second win in a row. What do you think about it?
Mao: Second win in a row at NHK Trophy...of course I know those expectations. However, first of all everything is related to Sochi Olympics in this season. My goal at this point is to show what I can do at the competitions one by one.
MC2: Although I think you are so busy with your training, do you have something addicted recently?
Mao: I'm addicted to internet shopping. hahaha
MC2: Oh, you? hahaha
Mao: Yeah. I ordered chestnuts last month.
MC2: Chestnuts? Raw ones?
Mao: hehehe Yeah. I orderd twice this month. Ah, my mistake, I ordered twice last month...n September. hehehe
MC2: Twice last month?
Mao: Yeah, hehehe.
MC1: I want to see you ordering chestnuts. Now let Arakawa interview Ms. Asada.
Arakawa: You chose Nocturne which you use to skate to. Why did you decide to skate to it again?
Mao: Noctune was chosen because this number got the best reputation from people among my former programs.
Arakawa: You chose to skate your free program to Rach2. What have you focused on to work on this program?
Mao: To skate well from the beginning to the end.
Arakawa: This is the Olympic season. I heard you answered in a interview that you want to show the compilation of your life as a competitive skater in this season. Can you tell us your thoughts on skating at this point?
Mao: I have only six months more. I think I can put all my heart and soul to skating. I want to try my best with my full strength.
....to be continued

Wonderful translations, I live for them.

10:25 To Satoko Miyahara
MC1: Now next skater is Satoko Miyahara who participates in NHK Trophy for the first time. At the beginning of today's interviews she said she was nervous. I feel like I'm seeing Mao Asada of several years ago. hahaha Miyahara-san, you make your debut in the senior field this season. What do you feel at this point?
Satoko: This is my first participation in GPS. So I can be very nervous at the big events. Even so, I want to show my best performances.
MC1: Have you seen the events of NHK Trophy since you were very little?
Satoko: Yes, I've seen them
MC1:Can you tell me any impressive scenes of them?
Satoko: umm....eh...I can't tell...hehehe
MC1: Thank you very much. hahaha
MC1: We are asking the same questions to all of you today. What are you addicted to recently?
Satoko: umm.....To have granola every morning and to cook avocado dishes.
MC1: To cook avocado dishes? oh...kinda stylish dishes!
MC2: Yeah, stylish.
MC!: Now Arakawa-san please.
Arakawa: Miyahara-san is eligible for the Olympics. I think of course you are aiming at the Olympics. What do you feel at the stage of facing the Olympic season?
Satoko: The Olympics have been my dreams. Aiming at the Olympics, I want to skate well enought to be satisfied with at every event.
Arakawa: Can you tell me one of your own strong points and also one of the things you have to work on?
Satoko: One of my strong points is to skate at the same speed from the beginning to the end. The artistry and the facial expressions are the things I want to work on from now.
MC1: Thank you very much,

...continued from my previous translation.
12:53 To Nobunari Oda
MC2: Sorry to make you wait for so long. Now we'd like to interview Nobunari Oda. Your second son was born at the beginning of this year. You must be feeling that you want to do well as a father of your kids.
Nobunari: Yeah, my kids see and recognize me, so I want to show my cool performances to my kids.
MC2: oh, can they recognize you?
Nobunari: Yeah, my first son is 3 years old now and he recognizes me. He imitates the choreography of my exhibition program "Last Samurai".
MC2: Ohhhhhh hahaha So adorable! Oda and Takahashi have shown good rivalry at lots of the events of NHK Trophy for a long time. Of course your fans are expecting you to compete against Takahashi for the gold.
Nobunari: Competing against Takahashi is one of the biggest motivations for me. I want to show people my good performances.
MC2: Now I ask you the same question. Can you tell me what you are addicted to recently?
Nobunari: In every Sunday morning I watch TV animation hero series for children under the theme of 'squadron' with my kids. I started to watch the TV program with my kids but now I AM addicted to it.
Nobunari: hehehe So I am addicted to watch it.
MC2: Do you take something from it to your skating?
Nobunari: NOT AT ALL. hahaha
MC2: hahaha Now Arakawa-san, please go ahead.
Arakawa: You've already skated at your first competition in this season. You did very well at Nebelhorn Trophy. What about your condition at this point?
Nobunari: I think I'm in a good shape and I'm healthy. I was satisfied with my skating at the competition. However, the main events are coming from now. So I should forget about the past competition. Turning over a new leaf, and with modesty, I want to re-start my training.
Arakawa: Talkin about Olympics, you're aiming at the second participation in a row. What do you focus on during your training?
Nobunari: Jumps are important and I'm working on them. However, successful jumps are not everything, since top skaters all mail them. So I'm working on the expression side to show such as my personality on the ice and my own skating.
MCs: Arigato-gozaimashita(=Thank you very much).
15:48 To Everyone
MC1: Everyone, please tell your expectations for NHK Trophy and also messages for your fans.
Daisuke: I'm aiming at the medals. although NHK Trophy must be the toughest among the GPS. I'll do my best. To fans...Although I don't know what "Daisuke Takahashi" comes out, I want you to keep rooting for me.
Mao: My goal at NHK Trophy is to show the performances at my best. My message for my fans is...Maybe there would be ups and downs throughout the season. Your support will give me power. So please keep rooting for me.
Satoko: I want to skate with confidence and speed. My message for my fans is...hehehe...I will skate without worrying about making mistakes. Please root for me.
Nobunari: It's been long since I participated in it last time. I'm so excited now. So I want to skate with my exiting feelings. I also skate with the appreciation for my fans in my mind.
When I started my translation, I didn't think it would be this long.
I made it at last! Yay!
Thank you rosewood!
Thank you Rosewood!
Sometimes it's hard as a Mao fan who doesn't speak Japanese. I love reading things that show her personality a bit more
