I know I say this every single year but that free dance is amazing. Let the haters hate - Tessa and Scott are such a joy to watch! My absolute ultimate favourites!!

    Gorgeous FD. Love it.

Not loving the marks. PCS are good. But what is with the TES?

I'd love PJ's take on this. That score is ridiculous.

That was very beautiful, so much flow and a big definitive ending pose. Regarding the scores, the rest of the teams were marked hardly as well particularly when you look at the scores for C/B. The scores are low but I don't think its something to be concerned about in finlandia.

Man, that was beautiful. Hoping we get to see the protocols because the TES were low.

The writing is on the wall. There's nothing they can do gold is already decided for and maybe silver is not even there's either. I thought the FD was exquisite and beautiful they should be proud.

I hope all of you there are having a good time can't wait to read your impressions.

Scott on training with D&W: "It's not a toxic working environment at all". Talk about damning with faint praise...

My feed broke up, so can't tell exactly where the "problems" were which would have contributed to their score. The program was beautiful, so powerful and emotional. Waiting to see a video to review in it's entirety.

That is one part of a much longer quote. He said the usual things, that he likes training with them because they are the one team that really understands what they're going through, and that they are friendly, though not best friends, and the environment isn't toxic at all.

Since the problem was, again, with levels, I am good. Sure, it's low, but they all were low.

I thought that program looked amazing for this time of year. I think by Feb it will be even more amazing.

I wonder what Gregory Elek has against V&M?

One of the lift was called level 1 and a step sequence level 2...

I am not so sure, because the PCS are still strong. It's the technical side that's not working out.I know,it's way too late talking about this, but maybe Margaglio as a technical coach isn't working for them. Maybe it's possible for V/M to get someone else as a technical coach? Although I don't think Marina would accept this. I am just a little shocked by those marks. 100 for that beautiful skate?

I LOVE this FD!!! It's classical, elegant, light and romantic...everything that V/M are known best for. The lifts are just stunning. I also love the little balletic moments placed throughout. The program doesn't scream classical ballet, but it still maintains that feel. I think I know what people mean by the whole montage thing, though that's not the term I would use. I feel like there are glimpses of other moves and programs that they've done woven throughout, almost like watching V/M's greatest hits. I say that in the best possible way, though. It is brand new material, and it has a different feel than anything else they've done before, but it still has the tiniest glimpse of the past (I loved that momentary throwback to Mahler, for example). What a stunning way for them to say goodbye to the skating world! (complete with the little bow before they strike the final pose, which was perfect!)

More importantly, it looked to me like they were absolutely loving it out there. Tessa was just beaming. As for the scores, I hate to say this, but I'm beyond caring at this point. Of course I want them to win in Sochi, but this is a team that already has an OGM and two world titles. They're going to be remembered as one of the best teams ever regardless of what happens this season, and they have two stunning programs to close of their career. Honestly, I just want to enjoy watching them, since we won't get too many more chances to do that. This season should be about celebrating their careers.

    Well said!! I completely agree.
