Thanks! Side note: Alexander Zahradnicek is listed on the Ondrej Nepela Trophy roster in SVK the same weekend (it's his first international competition representing France).

what's with lena marrocco? does the date collide with a junior grand prix?

zahorski should be there and fight for the olympic spot, lost talent

Marrocco is among the junior competitors. So is Ventard.

Candice Didier is still skating? That's unexpected!

Candice is still skating and her LP is Carmen! She has been dealing with a slight hip injury but intends to skate next month. She has been training with Diana Skotnicka the past 2 years. The French Fed is not counting on her or investing its money on her anymore. She has a very very slight hope to get the Sochi spot, so she is going for it.

Does anyone know how cold the rink is? I'm hoping it's not a refrigerator like De Uithof... Though I must add that De Uithof is absolutely awesome if you don't consider the temperature inside the rink.

I would say not too cold but I remember taking warm socks, especially on Friday. It feels warmer on Saturday as there are more people attending. But if you plan to watch the entire day, take some warm clothes (not your ski parka though !)

    Thanks skatak!

Is anyone traveling from Paris to Orleans? I haven't booked my flight yet so there's still time to arrange for a traveling mate. For the train that is, the flight is from Portugal.

    Here is the skating order:

Yretha Sile is no longer listed. Someone posted on the French forum that she had another knee surgery recently.

Apparently Brian Joubert told the local news that he's not ready and probably won't compete at the Masters. Also, it looks like he is sticking with his Gladiator program after all

At least the rink renovation is complete and he's back in Poitiers.

L'Equipe is saying he will withdraw Joubert withdraws

I'm not surprised after seeing him in this interview Interview with Brian Joubert he looks really tired. He also says he is keeping Gladiator... If that's the case I hope they have given it a good refurb. Inception is a better program, but I always had the impression that he really wasn't into it.

Simon Hocquaux won the junior SP with 3F-3T,3lo,2A
Laurinne Lecavellier won the ladies SP but putting a hand on her lutz and loop.
The only pair did a throw 3F for the first time but it was a fall. They complained about the ice quality since the ice was bad after the 2 groups of junior ladies.
James-Cipres did not skate but practiced there and it was reported that they did 3T-3T and 3S.

Laurine Lecavelier wins, with an almost perfect program : 3Lz-2T, 3F, 3Lp, 3F, 3T, 2A, etc... second 3Lz was perfect.
Léna Marocco easy with 3Lz, but really lost with everything else : turn out on 2F, two falls on 3T, not attempt at 2A. She is now really slim.
