Priscilla. In all honesty, Ashley's spins were better under her because she used to kick Ashley's butt to practice them. Her spins got worse after going to Nicks, and it's the same with Artunian. I think the other issue is that Ashley doesn't hold her positions as long as she should. She's been holding a lot of her positions for the bare minimum number of revolutions (2), while most of her competitors will hold them for at least 3 or so. I think the time allocated to her spins in her programs also seem shorter than the rest of the field.

The dress was nice and after so much hard work (not to mention extreme pressure) it's nice to see Ashley stepping out and enjoying herself.
She may not be my favorite but she is a world class skater and exceptional performer too.

Good luck to Ashley at Worlds.

I'm glad Ashley did well at the Olympics considering the hate she was getting for a decision that she didn't even make, people were acting like she personally wronged Mirai (who I feel for but I understand why Ashley was sent). I think the next step is to find a way to correct those two-feet landings, they can really add up and bite her. I admire her for doing everything she had to to bring her skating up to the next level. She's a dedicated athlete and a hard worker. Good luck at Worlds, Ashley!

Here's some more on Ashley and Adam at the Oscars from over at IceNetwork:

    http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2014/03/05/68736136

"It was incredible!" Wagner said. "We had amazing seats. It was more of an intimate venue than I expected. You were really rubbing elbows with everyone. Ellen DeGeneres was so funny. Just to be in that type of an environment was really cool. It was fun to live the fairy tale for the night."
And a video interview with her there

Man Adam looks amazing in that picture on icenetwork. It's like Ashley is trying really hard to look hot (she does look very pretty), but Adam just IS hot.

I'm happy for her. I think she needs it because Gracie is still the "it" girl for the USFSA.

^ Well, Gold IS the current US champ after all, so that's understandable...she should be their "it" girl...

That cover of Gracie is really old news. I recall chuckling over where one of her blades is pointing

Adam really does look amazing. And I knew it--CoverGirl seems to be calling the shots wrt make-up. It sucks.

I am proud of Wagner's skating at Sochi and would have had her make top 5 and above Gold. I have no idea how Gold's PCS suddenly creeped above Wagner's. The reworked S&D was fantastic and she did a great job selling it.

If she is to continue in the coming quad (which I think she is), she needs to work on a few things:

    - Good that she is committing to the 3/3 all season but it hasn't exactly worked much. Perhaps she and Arutunian should discuss alternatives. 3sal3toe?

    - Spins

    - Work her way back up in the order. International judges placing Gold above her is NOT good.

^I would say she should grit her teeth and work on a true edge on the Lutz. That helped out Joannie towards the end of her career.

I love Ashley but I am fearing her window of ever winning a world medal is now passing and almost passed. I hope I am wrong. The way the judges are elevating all these newbies and she still isnt making any inroads is bad sign for her.
