All Plushenko has to worry for now is to qualify for Olys, and have a better performance than the others Russians of Gp, and beat them at Nationals later if they dont send him directly to Sochi anyway, for now he had the better skate of all, with Arthur and his issues at SA, Menshov who seems not performing well in NHK, Voronov with whatever programzzzz, only Kovtun might be a threat and that is if Plushenko skates with one leg at RN. None has capitalised on the absence and injuries/surgeries of Plush.

I say to stop the and let Plushenko go on with his training and preparations for Sochi. Maybe we should post the updates on his fan thread only, if someone is interested, s(he) will read them there.

According to this article, V/T will most likely skip Russian Nationals (they had previously been considering skipping Euros). And the article right below it mentions K/S may be ready to start some light training soon (wow!) as Smirnov is back in St. Petersburg recovering.

Oh, this is much more better..face to face.. Maybe it's a sad news for you, but I don't hate any posters if they protect the favorite skaters from the haters, or simply love them. This is a big diffrence between us. The hatred is a very bad human feeling, I'm just saving it for rare occasions.

I think it makes sense for V/T to skip Nats. There's literally no need to go or anything to gain.

After watching IK's FD, I realized something. Pasha has taught Ilinykh how to cry well and be a diva!

I was really hoping to see Pasha in the KNC !
Seeing Babs Angelica Galit etc it's great !
Why does no one go to Platov ? Hasn't he only got Coombes/Buckland at the moment ?

He's also got Nick's brother & partner - Olivia Smart & Joseph Buckland, but they're still in juniors so it seems there's definitely room for another senior team.

Yeah, what was that about? Was she supposed to be crying because the performance was so good or so bad?

I'm glad V&T are skipping Russians instead of Europeans... Europeans are too important to skip when one is not injured.

She was divalicious before but is always good to get few points for the DIVA herself.

Just nerves not an Oscar winner expresion and there is nothing to be ashamed off.I actually like it and her black Swan was much more alive than Bobrova's speedy black bird.

You're right, they didn't but they should have.
    The man is SHITE.......
Furthermore, he makes me puke a little bit in my mouth when he stops to do the pelvis thrusting bit that he's done since the fcking 90's. When I'm not puking I'm offended by the flailing that makes me think he's a) insulting people with disabilities and b) sticking two fingers up to skaters who actually have choreography. Finally, he's shite because people actually respond to him, like him, love him even. They swoon when he thrusts, they give him 9's for TR and Ch and then I'm left feeling like a) a moron b) loathing the sport and my fellow man :grrr:

Although I feel like she could have definitely channeled Pasha a bit more. I saw it in the first lift (her expression was great there. It was like BOOM I'm here!!!), but not enough everywhere else. Something to work on in the future.

This is like a spoof of Plushenko haters! "offensive to people" with disabilities? Lol! That is hilarious!

The program is not ready, both Plushenko and Mishin said it. If some posters here don't like it that's fine.
My complaint is more that he got ridiculous marks for a crap program that wasn't ready. Why even try to improve if the judges give you those marks off the bat. It also makes the judges lose credibility, IMO.

Posted links to videos of Plushenko's short program and free skate at the Volvo Cup in the Volvo Cup thread in the K&C. Apologies if they have been posted previously elsewhere already

BTW: Have we heard anything about Martiusheva's chin after that horrible fall? Any nasty consequences or is she alright?

Oh thank you for this I saw him live in Vancouver. I was in the front row - almost all his jump landings were wonky, his spins were slow, his hip thrusting cringe-worthy, and his hand-licking frankly insulting. It deeply infuriates me that he got the marks he got at that event. By all accounts he was not much better at Volvo - and he still gets gifted. I'm offended by the way he is marked.
