Jesse, I keep reflecting on all I have learned from you these past months. You taught me to see an axel takeoff. In your own skating you showed me such natural gifts as well as some of the hard work it took you to achieve your technique. (How gutsy to post your falls on Youtube!) I learned what it looks like to endure misery with grace, truth, courage, and even humor. And how much awful suffering there is in this life that healthy people dont even dream of. And not to take my body for granted. And I got to know your wonderfully intelligent, quirky self, with your love of clarity, your patience (with me especially), your firm opinions, your ability to make beautiful music without (according to you) having a real love of music (can't say I understand that one), your passion for skating and your deep knowledge of the IJS. I even learned about Canada. I dont want to go on and on so I will stop... but there is so much I am thankful to you for.
And I hope to God that you are getting relief and AIR, and that your team is getting its act together.
