She came in and woke me up again today.. I was so mad. If the doctor sees me again soon we're going to make sure he puts in the order for them not to do that.. ridiculous!
Thankfully I got to come home again today.

It seems to still be pretty hot outside here. Tomorrow I have a CT scan... so my ambulance picks me up at 6:45am.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Good luck tomorrow, Jesse. I had an MRI (similar) a couple years ago and it wasn't too bad. I thought about beautiful places I've been in and said prayers....

Spazactaz what a lovely birthday, especially Kurt calling you - but he's a classy guy so I'm not surprised I hope your CT scan goes well and you can get lots of rest.

There really needs to be a rule against waking up a patient while he/she is asleep. A lot of the healing can take place during the sleep. I find it outrageous that they wake up the patients just to show their data. Jesse, I totally sympathize with you; please talk to the doctors about this.

Yeah they always say you need to sleep to heal, but never allow you to. It was farrrrrrrr worse in the last hospital.. getting blood work at 3am etc. But what this lady is doing is just.. insane!!

I just hope I don't need the contrast for my ct because that seems to be the only thing I am allergic to... and then they'll need to pre-medicate me etc which is a huge hassle lol.

Spun Silver I'm glad yours wasn't bad! I've had like a million MRIs and I can barely handle them anymore... they are soooooooooooooooooooo long just laying there so uncomfortably, I hate it!! lol

I hope your test today goes well, Jesse.

I'm crossing my fingers for you! I'm allergic to the contrast dye too and it's not fun at all.

Praying that the MRI; and any other necessary procedures, go as smoothly as possible, Jesse.

It went fine... they said they were using the contrast but when I told them about the allergy they just... didn't.
The ambulance ride was insane... needed to take my vitals every 15 min??? ugh! so unnecessary. last ride they did nothing like that.

Glad to hear you did not have to suffer through the contrast, Spaz. Since I am not a medical professional, I should not criticize those who are monitoring you, but taking the vitals every 15 minutes sounds excessive. May be it's SOP that was put in place for some reason but it may not be necessary in every case. They just do it on everyone, regardless of the situation, or may be they were really concerned about how you would handle the ambulance ride. Sorry you had to suffer through that.

Have a nice rest of the day.

I have only ever had one MRI in my life and one is more than enough! Spaz your courage, spunk, and positive attitude are sights to behold and we are with you all the way! Now maybe a good time for ice cream!
