Jessie, why isn't anyone advocating for you, and why are your caregivers not doing more? I apologize if someone is in fact advocating for you, but I don't get the impression that that is the case?

A new worst day of my life.
Woke up in an extreme panic attack because I was suffocating SO badly.
Ended up getting a blood transfusion. Suffocating has continued ALL day however and I am just absolutely terrified because it feels like I'm dying at any moment.
If this doesn't work some sort of miracle and pronto I don't know how I can last much longer, this is the worst torture I've ever experienced and I don't know what to do.

Have doctors specifically addressed this suffocation feeling, Jesse? (Or maybe the blood transfusion was addressing that.) I can only imagine how terrifying that feeling must be. There has to be something that can be done, there just has to!

    So sorry!

They think the breathing issues are caused by low hemoglobin and finally, finally got around to giving him the transfusion. Another one tomorrow. He is in a tiny hospital in a tiny town. There are only three doctors in the whole town. They dont know what to do for him...

Jesse, you are NOT alone. Remember us and all your friends - with you in spirit all the time, loving you and sending prayers for relief and strength.

The transfusion is the only real option, otherwise they just address it by giving me hydromorphone and ativan pills, which have seemingly done nothing at all.
I would also think there has to be something that can be done but it's just not seeming like it... and I don't see how they can allow me to sit in this agony... it is TORTURE and I don't deserve it. It's not worth being alive for at all.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, Jesse. I am furious at the horrible care you have been getting. I wish there was something we here at FSU could do for you besides just say we're all here for you.

Tears for you Jesse, I am so very sad to read your post and wish so desperately that there was something I/we could do which would help with your suffering. Is there any way your parents or doctors could find out what is the best form of pain relief for your condition? via the internet I'm thinking or by calling someone with expertise in pain relief?

Is there an hospice facility which you could go to - the nurses and doctors there are specialists with regard to pain relief and I know from personal family experience that they can be incredibly helpful to families.

We are thinking of you Jesse and you are in our prayers.

Is there any option of moving to a larger facility? I know it would put you farther from home, but if more could be done for you.....

I'm so, so sorry to hear how you're suffering!!

I hear outside a million panicking birds, and know even out there comfort is done with; it has shattered even the stars, this creature at last come home to me.

I don't understand why transfusion is the only option. Do they hear fluid in your lungs? If so, would a diuretic help? Ativan is pretty strong. It's not helping with your anxiety?

Jesse, I am so sorry that you are suffering so much. I don't know what to say, except we all care and wish we could perform a miracle for you. XOXO
