I think Orozco, and Leyva are locks but the others have a bit more of a fight on their hands to make the team. That said my vote goes to; Leyva, Orozco, Mikulak, Legendre, and Dalton.

I think Mikulak is the lock. He looks like our best AAer. Leyva may not even make the team if he can't get an AA spot. He does typically peak at Nationals or whenever he needs to.

I think Dalton, Mikulak, and Orozco are the biggest locks. I dont think Leyva is a lock at all.

I meant to include Dalton as a lock, as well. I see Dalton and Mikulak as our AAers.

I think Dalton is basically a lock if he can keep it together at nationals.

Yeah, Mikulak and Dalton are the two locks. Leyva and Orozco will make it but I think their spots aren't very secure.

Is it a 5 person team? I'm always so confused by World Championships in the post Olympic years.

I think it is 5 person. I know it is more than the women because there are more events.

Right, that makes sense. I feel very behind on the Men this year. What's been going on with Leyva that people now tend to see Mikulak and Dalton ahead of him as AAers? (not that we don't all know I'd be thrilled to death to see Sam make it as one of the AAers) I assume Orozco is not seen as one of the top two AAers because he hasn't competed AA since London?

Dalton and Mikaluk have been competing very well all year, and winning some competitions with very high AA scores. They have clearly improved. Leyva has struggled to even match his 2012 form, let alone having improved any. Orozco has kept quiet since London, but London showed he is a bit of a headcase.

Thanks! I haven't seen too many men's results since NCAAs where Mikulak obviously had a great meet.

How has Orozco come back from his injury?

Dalton at the American Cup was amazing! I doubt if anyone but Uchimura can top him if he repeats that performance, and very unlikely another Americans (other than maybe Mikulak). I cant imagine Leyva or Orozco doing it with their top levels of last year, and it is questionable if they can even reach those right now.

I actually saw Dalton at the American Cup! Live! I don't know where my head is at.

I'm at the XL Center! Sitting in section 101, row H, over by the High Bar which will be good for my nerves, I'm sure. If anyone is here, come say hi! You can't miss the Michigan merch!

Sam Mikulak on High Bar is like my own tiny personal heart attack.

Also, the US guys still don't seem to have figured out that the goal of the Pommel Horse is not to touch the ground until the routine is done.

John Orozco doesn't look 100%. That leg brace is scary.

Methinks he might have returned too early.

I say the FIG just needs to dump the pommel horse all together and have the guys do the balance beam. It'd get rid of the most snoozy event ever and replace it with something 1003482023583 times more interesting.

.. or US should hire some decent PH coaches... The likes or Berki and for that matter whole Hungarian Gymnastics team and British team has shown really good work on PH.
