I was sorry I had to miss it this year, but it's nearly impossible to get to that location via Metro. I'm hoping it returns to Ballston next year, but it sounds like it was a good event!

Thanks for all your hard work!
Based on the HUGE amount of positive feedback from both the audience and the skaters, as well as the fact that we could book a year in advance and not have to play the waiting game to see if there is ice available - I have to say that it is certainly under discussion and being considered. As soon as I hear something for certain, I'll let folks know

Kettler is (much!) more easily accessible via public transit for those of us without cars, but I will admit that Gardens is a nicer venue.

Thanks for the early heads-up. BTW, we got to talk to Kimmie after the show. She said she loved the ice surface @ The Gardens (and didn't feel like she was going to crash into anything/anybody there while skating her program).

Made it to the show and enjoyed it thoroughly! Thank you to lostnfound and all the volunteers for making the show such a success, and for keeping us informed on the board!

Got to chat a bit with some of the skaters afterwards, and everyone was so friendly and seemed like they really enjoyed being there. Having Paul Wylie there was quite a nice surprise too! He was giving a seminar on another ice surface prior to the show and patiently showing a small group of skaters (including a few adults!) some variations on the sit spin, how to grab the blade in a spiral, etc., and it was fun to watch him demonstrate.

I liked the Gardens Ice House as a venue for the show. Have attended the show at Kettler a few years back and it seemed a bit more cramped, though certainly it's a lot easier to get to by public transportation.

I uploaded some videos from the show, in case anyone is interested.

Great to see Kimmie! I really liked her fun performance and Brian still has the best spread eagles and edges in the business (still miss ya Brian).
Loved Adam's "Carmen" too. Many thanks for sharing the videos I enjoyed them all!

Thanks for the vids. I enjoyed seeing Adam's Carmen so early in the season. He gave a committed and polished performance. Nice. [Not to mention, his hair is perfect this year. And the costume is a huge improvement over those beige-droopy-big shirts he seems to favor. ]

Me too. It was great when the show was accessible by public transport.

Thanks to folks who've posted videos. Is that Adam Rippon skating to Carmen? I almost didn't recognize him - no longer the rail-thin cherub. Looking good, though!

Great to see this show continuing to thrive in support of MW's wonderful scholarship program. Wish I could have seen Brian B. His spread eagle is still the 'best in the business'
