    Too slow.

    Moments in figure skating history:
    1. Sarah Hughes successfully detects the booby trap planted by team Kwan.
    2. Jeff Buttle gives a touching homage to Kurt Browning's Olympic track record for his 2006 Olympic SP.
    3. Surya Bonaly brings back her masterful signature piece, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, the 1998 Olympics.
    4. Lepisto's false start and sexy bitchslapping the ref to give her a do-over before her 2010 Olympic LP.
    5. Chaplin Nagasu smashes into the boards during 2009 nationals

Do you think that some pieces of music should be retired unofficially in the seasons after iconic performances to them?

No. I was at Kostner, Abbott, V/M, and even Mao for going for Bolero, A Day in the Life, Carmen, and Swan Lake respectively. Yet those are four of my favorite programs ever...

    your thoughts?

Well, who is to decide whether or not a performance is iconic? If I go into a whirl of raw sexual love fetishes when I see Isabelle Pielady skate to a medley of the Electric Light Orchestra's greatest hits, can I campaign to have this profoundly moving and intensely sensual music "retired unofficially"? And if not, why not? Well?

We're now into the second half of August. So I'm afraid these are the only choices open to me:

    Snow
    Rain
    Fog
    Gales
    Ice

What on earth are Gales? I even googled it and a bunch of Oprah's friends popped up.

I think that perhaps you're being a tad disingenuous, Mr. Donym. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gale :insertsrandomvisualisationofoksanabaiul:

Psychic powers is too vague a description, and I have no interest in blowing things up except for my neighbour's lawnmower, so I'll go for flight. Like a Lark Ascending, perhaps.

    1. If Kim, Kwan, and Chen were all the same nationality - let's say they're all from Paraguay - which would you like best? But if you say Kwan I won't believe you.

Probably. Has today been a little out of the ordinary for some reason? or perhaps no

    1. Chen. "sumptuous presentation"
    2. Probably. Has it been a little out of the ordinary? Do tell.

What is your most sensitive sense?
    sight
    smell
    hearing
    touch
    taste
    sixth

My senses are fairly dull. I have horrible stygmatism (I'm like a Cyclops). I can't detect the smell of dog urine in my bedroom apparently, according to my mom. I have a freakishly high pain tolerance. My taste buds don't stir in response to many subtle foods (I put hot sauce on everything.) And my hearing can only be described as "senile". My sixth sense is much stronger than most people, however, though this deserves a post of its own at some point...

Taste. Not because it's sharp, but because the others are so dull.

It would depend on the season.

Kim skating to "Mr Blue Sky"
Chen skating "Can't Get It out of My Head"
    Kwan skating to "Strange Magic"
purple no, f_d, the Pielady is the Queen

The super-final would be a skate-off to "Nellie Takes Her Bow", every edit of which would be required to include the instrumental section that sounds just like "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen".

Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

    1) Amanda Dobbs or Katrina Hacker?

    2) Tara Lipinski's commentary: yay, nay, or never heard it?

Kids doing even relatively simple pairs maneuvers: (Of course, that could be my ignorance talking.)

    In the 1960s:

    pairs
    ladies
    men
