Congrats to the GB girls for their bronze in the 4x400m. Great run. I doubt if Perri had been there if we could have done better as the Russians and USA were very good - I suspect Felix not being there gave the Russians the edge but they had to run for it - great finish and the crowd really willed them on there.

Such a weird failure by Brigeta Barrett!

    Very exciting end to 4x400.

Certain sections of the crowd really disrespectful at the start of the 100m hurdles. Shut the feck up innit.

    Great race in the end!

Yay - another bronze for GB in the 100m hurdles - great run by Tiffany. Great comeback by Rollins though - she had a lousy start but reeled in Sally Pearson and won the Gold!!

haha, well that was a walk in the park for Bolt

    Good run for Gemili

ETA Gemili looks tiny compared with Bolt on the slo-mo.

Bolt not at his best, but still miles ahead of everybody else.

Adam Gemili did really well for his first Worlds.

I'm glad Weir managed to step up and get a medal there, and really good stuff from Gemili to be in the mix even if he didn't medal. He seems like such a good kid as well from his interviews (when did I get old enough to start referring to athletes as kids... )

100m relays tomorrow, I always love the potential for absolute carnage!

The Swedish high jumper who painted her fingernails in rainbow colors to support gay rights has been told she could be in violation of the code of conduct at the world championships, a Swedish track and field official said Saturday.

Another solid day for Britain Two Bronzes in two minutes. Tiffany Porter wins the first ever medal for a British woman hurdler and is only a single hundredth off of the British record. Relay girls ran a solid effort. France pretty much came out of nowhere but I'm glad Christine was able to hold them off and get another medal.

Will be interesting to see who comes out on top of the Gold medal tally tomorrow. I'm sure USA is going to push and there is a potential for carnage in the relays where any number of carnage could win medals.
