Sara Hurtado & Adrian Diaz Launch Brand New Website

Sara and Adrian have launched their brand new official website today:
    http://hurtadodiaz.com/

Their first competition is Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships held from July 31 to August 3. In September they will compete in Nebelhorn Trophy, where they will aim for a spot for Spain at the Sochi Olympics. Their short dance is to the "Boardwalk Empire" soundtrack and the free is to the "Surviving Picasso" soundtrack and "Le Di a La Caza Alcance" by Estrella Morente.

For those who might think his name is spelled wrong, Adrian Diaz is in Spanish, and Adrià Díaz is in Catalan.
    Quote from their website:
What is the correct spelling of your name?
Adrian: A lot of people ask me this question. I understand it's confusing because in some papers it says Adrià, in others Adrian... The thing is that Adrià is in Catalan and Adrian is in Spanish. Even though I like both, I prefer Adrian, Adri, for friends.
Check out their profile pages, where you can learn more about Sara and Adrian.

You can also follow their journey to the Sochi Olympics on their blog, twitter and Facebook:

Sara and Adrian wrote about the new programs in their latest blog entry:

For our short dance we have chosen a mix of tunes from the soundtrack of Boardwalk Empire, the TV Series. It's about the years of the dry law in Atlantic City and how the mafia and contraband worked. It's a very good series, for those who like to watch series we highly recomend it. One of the Executive Producers is Martin Scorsese. In this program we are two owners of one of those locals and we invite you to come in. We have a lot of fun in this program, we hope you do too.
For the free dance it has been one of the most difficult choices in our career. It's always hard to find the perfect music, but this year was even harder. Everybody knows it's olympic year and for that we wanted to do something that shows our spanish blood. We first thought about the traditional flamenco, but it has been done before and very well by top teams like Anisina and Peizerat, Tessa and Scott... And we thought to keep it for another year when we can do it so good that is also remembered as this other ones are. However, we wanted to do something still with the spanish essence and looking for ideas we thought about doing a tribute to an spanish artist. The artist we chose is Pablo Picasso and the music is from the Soundtrack of the film Surviving Picasso and a final piece from the spanish singer Estrella Morente.
For those who don't know much about his story, he was a very particular painter and artist and he had a lot of lovers through his life. He would use women to get the inspiration he needed from them and once he was satisfied, he would move on to a different woman. In this program we are going to be Picasso and his muse, in concrete, Dora Maar.
