Bill Johnson - Anyone following his health struggles?

http://www.3wiresports.com/2013/07/1...-life-support/ Apparently he is in a very bad way. Sad.

    Another good article - http://www.katu.com/sports/Olympic-s...216009201.html

I remember watching that 1984 downhill. What an amazing race.

Pretty tragic. Seems like a flame that burned bright and fast.

So sad. Way too young to have suffered so much. He was definitely a badass and it's so rare to see someone back up a boast with an actual win (and these days especially when ski races are decided by hundredths of seconds and the kind of wax you used and the way the sun happened to hit the hill before you went down etc).

(Ah the glory days of skiing. Okay, the glory days of my so-called skiing career, in which my sister and I both got to wear the cast-off downhill suit of 1984 GS OGM Debbie Armstrong .)
