Glad to see Vera Farmiga and Jessica Lange nominated.

Disappointed "The Walking Dead" was over-looked.

On the one hand it's cool that they finally recognized multiple Game of Thrones actors. On the other, it would have been cooler if they had recognized the right ones. I'm not sure I'd call Emilia Clarke one of the six best actresses on the show* let alone on television, and while I love Peter Dinklage this really should have been Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's year. Diana Rigg is of course perfect and I hope she wins.

Happy about the writing and series nods too, but I'm beginning to wonder what exactly they have to do to get another directing nomination. Last year "Blackwater" gets snubbed, and this year both "And Now His Watch Has Ended" and "The Rains of Castamere"?

Also, I'd love to see Charles Dance get nominated, but I don't believe he's ever been submitted for the show, which I find baffling. Given that he's one of their more recognizable actors, plays a larger than life character that makes him impossible to ignore, is pretty much universally considered one of the very best parts of the show, and would (I assume) be in the less-competitive Guest category, I would think he'd be one of the most likely actors to earn a nomination.

*Not that she's terrible or anything, she's just inconsistent and a little one-note for me (and she really needs to lay of the "stare straight ahead with dead eyes" move that she keeps going back to), but that stands out when the rest of the cast is so strong.

I hope Peter Dinklage wins. I think he is due. I do agree that Nikolaj had quite a bit to work with this year and would have been a good nomination but Dinklage is always spot on and deserves an Emmy.

Completely agree about NCW being snubbed. Jaime's path to redemption is one of the best story lines in the books and he did an excellent job with it in the series.

It *is* nice to see Elisabeth Moss nominated for both Mad Men and Top of the Lake. Always thought she was a very good actress.

I think very strong nominations overall. I'm rooting for Breaking Bad but I think Homeland will take most of the awards. There are so many strong TV dramas at the moment. The only nomination I quibble with is Emilia Clarke. I love Game of Thrones but her performance is not much to write home about as gorgeous as she is to look at.

How many of the "Outstanding lead actor in a miniseries or movie" nominees will actually show up?

Also, if anyone from Nashville should have been nominated, it was Hayden Panetierre.

I'm thrilled for Netflix. I have really liked all of their original program with the exception of Hemlock Grove. I actually didn't mind the few episodes I saw but I could really care less about werewolves. It wasn't a bad show just not for me. I hope this encourages them to keep putting out quality series.

If Tim Gunn could have been nominated without Heidi, I think he would win.

Outstanding lead actor in a drama series
    •Hugh Bonneville, "Downton Abbey"
    lol wat? but ...

    •Jim Carter, "Downton Abbey"
    Carson!!

Glad to see Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage (again) recognized, but I agree that this was Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's year.

Also really liked Adam Driver nominated for Girls, he was really great. (Lena otoh ). I can't wait until Modern Family is over and stops hogging the supporting category. Really glad that Mayim Bialik and Merrit Wever snuck in there.

Shut out for New Girl ... interesting.

    I loved Hemlock Grove.
