    Return of the Twinkies

It's been years before I ate a Twinkie. As I became more health conscious, I started avoiding products like that. Now I may give it a try- eat just one, to celebrate their comeback.

Funny, now that I CAN have one, I don't want one. It was the same when Mother's Cookies went out of business (then back in business).

Yes, about killer young gay boys...
I guess the hard thing for a lot of people to accept is why God would allow me to go running through their yards, yelling and spinning around.

Someone at work brought twinkies today. I got one, and I plan to eat it later in the day.

As it says on the box, a Twinkie is a "[g]olden sponge cake with [a] creamy filling". Food of the gods to a five-year-old, much less satisfying after that.

Thanks. For some reason I thought it was a kind of chocolate confection.

I must be missing something. Cupcakes are horrible. And what's red velvet cake? And yellow cake? I never had any of these problems before I joined FSU.

Red Velvet cake is a very southern thing. I'm not a fan... but I haven't had it in years, so I can't describe the taste. It has a hint of chocolate in it, that helps give it the color. If you only use food coloring it is going to taste gross! (And require a ton)

Yellow cake uses whole eggs, white cake uses egg whites.

What's wrong with cupcakes? If you like cake, it's the same thing, just smaller.

But they're covered in about an inch of icing! Ugh. Or perhaps British and NA cupcakes are different. I mean, I would have liked them when I was six but........

That would be Zingers. They come in many flavors.

Can you get ginger ones? Would you like a Ginger Zinger?

    I have much to learn.

Are they going to bring back the Twinkies with the chocolate filling? I NEVER liked the regular ones, not even when I was little -- too sicky sweet. But I could eat a half of the ones that were out for a couple months with the (light fluffy) chocolate instead of the white cream in the middle - before they went away completely. (Should have gotten a dozen boxes and frozen them, huh?)

I'd rather eat a Moon Pie than a Twinkie.

Oh yeah, some shops do that. I've never bought a cupcake though, I just make them.

Here in Canada they never went anywhere. But I do buy a couple whenever I stumble upon a 711.

Can not tell you what images this conjures up in a country that doesn't have Twinkies or Moon Pies, and why did Gilligan's Island come to mind when a "Ginger Zinger" was talked about. Lovey Howell would be shocked I tell you.
