You can always choose not to watch the interviews. Throwing around your own snarks in retaliation is beyond me, however.

He is nothing but a fan. A wannabe gymnastics judge and wannabe FS commentator and wannabe FS judge. He is a wannabe skater. He is a wannabe who should show more respect.

One other point to consider.... as a skater, he is a member of USFS. As such, athletes are held to a code of conduct. There is a lot more to do than post yourself interviewing skaters, coaches, etc. and trying to get them to diss on others for enjoyment, as well as making a forum for your own conspiracy theories and GOSSIP. It doesn't help the sport AT ALL. Stuff like this belongs in a Forum such as this.

TSL is pablum for FS fans. I don't need baby food, thanks.

All of this is, of course, IMHO.
Because your comments aren't catty? Why don't you tell us your real name so we can take up your cattiness towards another USFS member with them? Or will you hid behind an anonymous screen name? Although perhaps with the facts you've given us, someone with some good research skills can figure out who you are.....

eta: since when are fans not allowed to produce their own shows for online viewing?

Firstly, an online video program on YouTube is a public program. Anyone can post a video on YouTube, but the person must take responsibility for any fall out, and they should be aware that it may impact societal memberships, such as USFS membership, etc.

I am retired from membership in the USFS, but I doubt they would care if they found out that I publically told a USFS member that their forward stroking is more like impaling meat on a stick than what it is meant to be - a push off on edges.

And, do you think anyone with my history would be afraid of being identified? HA! So I am opinionated on FSU, so what? There are many many many many people who are opinionated and post on FSU.

So what if I don't like the gossipy, useless portions of TSL and think it is bad for the sport? SO WHAT? So what if I think the person promoting such a thing has dubious credentials and integrity? SO WHAT? So what if I think TSL boarders on being like a supermarket tabloid only useful for lining a bird cage? SO WHAT?

It's all just my opinion. So are your comments. My opinion of those are that they are puerile and useless to me.

    Thanks for the spirited discussion!

There's much irony in this statement. Why are you posting here if it's purile and useless to you? By the way, there is no such word as "purile". Did you mean "Puerile"?

Why yes, I did mean, "puerile". Gosh, I hate typographical errors. But now that you mention it, I will just go with, "childish."

The comments made to me once (see above) from JamieElena are the ones I referenced as puerile, not the entire endeavor of exchanging ideas and finding news about FS on FSU.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for explaining. I'm glad you didn't find the whole board puerile! And by the way, welcome to FSU!

Simone, judging by his join date he has been around a long time. Long enough to decide the members here are too puerile with whom to associate.

BTW, apropos of nothing (), love your sig line.

If David Lease is working in a profession in which total concentration is necessary, whether that be writing Supreme Court briefs or driving a crane, your criticism would be legitimate. However, not every profession or job requires total concentration, and if his employer is satisfied with the quality and quantity of his output, then it's really his employer's call to make.

Apparently FSU is a private forum where catty comments are invisible to those they're aimed at.

So tell us who you are. You very personally took Dave to task for making catty statements, why can't we do the same to you?

Would you please cite the relevant section(s) of U.S. Figure Skating's rules that would support such action?

It must be in the same section used to sanction Dick Button when he called Angela a "refrigerator break". Not.

Thank you, taf, for pointing that out. I did notice the date and how many posts/replies there were after I made the nice warm "welcome suggestion" to PairSk8Fan. You're absolutely correct with your conclusion and I commend you for it!

So glad you like my siggy!
