OK, now the internet is just effing with us!

    Explorer, anyone got Explorer?

EDIT: I'll just DESCRIBE the pictures...

#1 The married couple are two older ladies...I'd guess late 60s/early 70s...both have big, happy smiles...one is wearing a rainbow-striped shirt or jacket...there are also two men on the platform, one taking a cellphone photo.

#2 Close-up of the top of the Space Needle flying the equality flag.

#3 As described in the caption, two police officers at pride march, one in regular police hat, one wearing a rainbow-striped umbrella hat.

#4 Smiling, bearded, bare-chested man wearing a brightly-colored fedora, plastic leis and a cape is playing a small snare drum.

Gay Themed Movies - Have you seen the Eating Out Series? The first two were good but then the final three to this point have kinda gone downhill but they're good for a cheap laugh if nothing else!

Jack Baker and Michael McConnell: Gay Americans who married in 1971
    By Claire Bowes
    BBC World Service

Last week the US Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, which defined marriage as between a man and a woman. But same-sex marriage has been possible in some states since 2004 - and one gay couple even craftily obtained a marriage licence more than 40 years ago.

Inspiring indeed. And till this day that marriage is valid? I mean 1971 was a whole different world regarding gay rights. My hat goes to them and Roger Lynn. Three inspiring people that deserve to have their stories heard. Actually they are somewhat forgotten by the LGBT movement and they shouldn't be!

    Quote from the article:

"It goes to the core of discrimination, you cannot let non-gay people treat you differently…you have to say
'I pay taxes to support this government and it is going to recognize me as an equal citizen or by God I'm going to disrupt that government.'"
We have come a long way Jack Baker. We really have...

Gay country singer releases song All American Boy on Facebook, goes viral
Steve Grand's ballad depicts unrequited love
    04 JULY 2013 | BY GREG HERNANDEZ

There has never been an openly gay male country music star but Steve Grand hopes to change that.

The singer released his song, All-American Boy, on Facebook this week and the song has quickly caught on with more than 75,000 views in less than two days.

He wrote on his Facebook page: 'This is my story, my song, my dream.’

The song is about a gay man (Grand) who bonds over drinking with one of his buddies. They laugh, they touch, they skinny dip.

But when the gay man goes in for the kiss, things become more clear.

    Check it out for yourself:

This is a nice refuge from that "other" (very toxic imo) thread.

    Let's post something gay positive:

US: Miss South Carolina pageant features first openly gay contestant ever in Miss America system
    by Joseph Patrick McCormick
    5 July 2013, 5:37pm

The Miss South Carolina Pageant in the US state of South Carolina, this year features its first openly gay contestant, who tackled potential criticisms from onlookers by simply saying “this is me”.

Ana Louisa Valencia has attracted international media attention by being the first openly gay contestant in the competition which has run since 1937. She is also the first binational contestant, and has been hailed as the “new face of the South” by some.

Billy Bean retired early from pro baseball because he was gay - he would not do so today
'There was no avenue for me. Nobody was even on the Internet yet'
    05 JULY 2013 | BY GREG HERNANDEZ

In recent months, pro soccer's Robbie Rogers and pro basketball's Jason Collins came out publicly as gay man and are contining with their playing careers.

For retired baseball pro Billy Bean, that would have been unthinkable.

'There was no avenue for me. Nobody was even on the Internet yet,' Bean tells The Advocate in a story posted today (5 July). 'It’s mind-boggling to see the resources that are available to LGBT youth today, and it’s great to see how much more confident they are because of it.'

That Billy bean was always such a stud. Actually there is this really good book by Peter Lefcourt "The Dreyfus Affair" about a homosexual baseball player that I always thought was modeled after him. When you read Billy's bio and then read the book there are many similarities. Of course it could be just me seeing things.

One of my favorite gay books.

He is very studly still...even at age 49. I'm sure that there were some who knew that he was gay back in the day, so maybe the book was based on him.
