    Red panda on the run

We had a bit of excitement here yesterday when the National Zoo's red panda got out, and made it nearly a mile before they caught him. Just posting the story here for those who might enjoy some cute panda pictures. (Really does look a little like a raccoon, doesn't he?)

    I love the red panda!

I'm so glad they found him so quickly. Adams Morgan is no place for a red panda! This reminded me of when my dog got out and was wandering the streets of Adams Morgan by himself!
Congratulations 2014 World Ice Dance Champions Anna Cappellini & Luca Lanotte!!!

Rachel Maddow started her show last night with the red panda story, before jumping into political topics. The red panda ('Rusty') looked so cute! Brought a smile to my face.

Poor baby must have been so scared! Glad they found him and he is safe from the mean streets.

Rusty is still at our vet hospital after yesterday's escapade. He is bright & alert this morning, eating & drinking.

Rusty is so cute. That's the first time I've seen a red panda! I'm glad he's safe and back home.

I love Red Pandas. Visited a zoo recently where I was very close to a Red Panda, took a photo of it and it is now my profile picture on my facebook page.
When you are up to your arse in alligators it is difficult to remember you were only meant to be draining the swamp.

Black bear scaled a 10-foot fence to break *into* the Knoxville Zoo http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/ju...-to-visit-zoo/

Like all good firefoxes, Rusty just wanted a jumbo slice.
Sometimes I think I lost something really important to me, and it turns out I already ate it.
