The EOS event website doesn’t list a date for Minto Summer Skate, so I’m assuming it will not take place this year.

Championnats québécois d'été 2013 updated skater list as of: June 19, 2012

Alissandra Aranow & Collin Brubaker (US) are listed in senior pairs short and free. Did they switch from dance? Marissa Castelli & Simon Shnapir (US) are registered for the senior pair short and free, and Kristina Bustamante & Luca Demattè (ITA) are registered for the senior pair short only.

There will be an updated list when the groups are announced. There usually are deletions and additions on the updated list.

    Thanks for posting, Daniskates93!

Senior Ladies registered for Thornhill currently include Gabrielle Daleman, Alaine Chartrand, Marika Steward (J2), Alexandra Najarro (missed last season due to injury), and Fumie Suguri.

Rachel Kirkland and Matt Kleffman are a new Senior dance team - I believe they're training at Detroit SC and wonder if they plan to qualify for Canadian or U.S. Nationals?

I wondered if Rachel's partner was from another country! Thanks for clearing that up Sylvia!

I am excited to see Paul/Islam at this event too. I've read about their new programs and look forward to watching them.

There are some good senior men registered too. Andrei Rogozine and Nam Nguyen are good skaters but another one to keep your eye on is Roman Sadovsky. I haven't seen him skate live in awhile but he was VERY good the last few times I did.

Ah, yes, Peter O'Brien. The one about whom Rod Black commented, saying that one of the wonderful things about Canadians was seeing a skater doing his best, and then seeing his reaction after that great skate.

Well, we knew that from the protocols and from his score that Peter O'brien had skated a great free skate.

It would have been even better if we could have actually SEEN the skate, instead of just his reaction at the end. (As far as I know, CTV never showed Peter's skate. I hope I'm wrong, and I just missed it, but I can't find it on my taped coverage or on Youtube).

Federica Bernardi/Chris Mior will compete in both SD and FD, they are in the entries now and I had the confirmation from Federica that they're definitely going to compete there. IIRC it's the first time they're competing in Montreal; last summe they did the Lake Placid competition and two years ago they skated at Thornhill.

They showed the last two men's groups in full, so yes Peter O'Brien's free skate was definitely televised. They even interviewed him.
