KOKH just reported that the Associated Press has the number of fatalities at 37 .

There will be a Press Conference at 7:30 local time (8:30 EDT) -- KOKH will be carrying it live (as will, I'm guessing, all of the MSM news outlets).

We've been in a media blackout down here--no cell service or Internet or power.
We're ok--had to be evacuated briefly yesterday and schools on lockdown today, but everyone ok. Everyone is trying to call to see if we can locate folk. Hwy shutdown so can't travel.

More storms predicted for tomorrow, then hopefully we get a break.
    Thnx for the well wishes

I am hearing all sorts of conflicting reports about school children being dead. 27 dead, some drowned. I am hoping that it is all false reports, we have seen how the reporting is very untrustworthy in the moments after a catastrophe.

Horrible and heartbreaking. I just heard from my friend who lives in OK City, and she's fine. Waiting to hear from cousin that her husband's relatives in Oklahoma are safe.
When I'm old, I don't want them to say of me, "She's so charming." I want them to say, "Be careful, I think she's armed."

On a selfish note--if y'all could post weather and news updates, I'd be much obliged. Still no tv or internet service (doing everything from phone now), so don't really know what's happening.

    Thnx!

Don't know what kind of phone you're using but here's the weather channel with the latest news if you can link to it.

    http://www.weather.com/

Dozens confirmed dead, tornado path was 22 miles long and Moore was the hardest hit. Threat not over but as the weather cools down with nightfall the threat is diminished.

Have been away from all news sources for several hours, and am just finding out about this now. So devastating.
Will be sending positive thoughts for all affected by this horrible storm. Hoping any FSUers in the area are safe.

Like milanessa said - don't know what kind of phone you have, but yesterday I used the national weather service's radar when we were driving thru storms.

Once the window is opened, you can click on your area to see live radar sweeps and get alerts

agal, glad you are well. My heart is really breaking for all those families in Moore. Our office gathered a huge amount of canned goods for the Joplin tornado victims and had them taken to a food pantry there, I hope we do the same for these poor families.
I meant to take the high road.... but I missed the exit.

Wonderful stories among the devastation - Rhonda, a teacher, lay across 6 of her students - she and her students are all okay.

    Then there are the looters...scum....
Give me one more quiet night, before this loud morning gets it right, and does me in.

Glad to hear that you and yours are safe -- when these storms hit yesterday and especially today, you were the first person I thought of and was worried for.

Will do my best to post weather and news updates for you .

CNN is confirming 51 dead, including 7 school children. I hope that is the last of the reported deaths but I fear it will not be.
