Commander Chris Hadfield Wins the Internet!

In a farewell to the International Space Station, Chris Hadfield records the first music video from space. The song? Space Oddity, by David Bowie, of course.

I am so going to miss those daily beyond stunning photo Tweets of Chris'. I've seen more of this Wonderful World of ours in the last few months than I have in years. Not only that, but Chris made Science cool *and* entertaining!!

Not the easiest of things to do either.

And all at the same time as taking Leafs Nation into Space too!! The Parents were laughing at me earlier over my reaction to the Leafs winning and taking their Series to a Game 7 tomorrow night in Boston...

    YES!! GAME SEVEN BABY!!!

    *couple of seconds later*

Oh NO!!! Chris won't be able to even follow along w/the game because he'll be in the Capsule w/the rest of the Crew getting ready for Re Entry and Home!!!

Shows where my focus is right now, doesn't it?

Here's to a problem free and safe ride home *and* landing tomorrow!! GodSpeed Cmdr Hadfield and Thank you!!

He is truly an inspirational figure- I imagine he has inspired a lot of kids in school to be interested in science and research.

I know this was in another thread, but it's still great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbCsH89rnKs
I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

Neat article about, of all things, the copyright issues for recording the song. How does copyright work in space?

ITA! The good news, though, is that he took waaay more photos than the ones he posted from the ISS, and will continue to feed them to us. I'm following him on Facebook, I'm assuming it's the same on his Twitter feed.

(In case you can't guess, I too am a huge fan.)
