Oh God-I have to watch this show again? My husband is totally hooked on it which is kind of funny. I think he has a crush on Sooki who I think is now just kind of a moody whiner with constant PMS. True, looking at some of the fine fellows is a treat, but it just gets sillier and sillier to me every year.....sigh.

Oh, the show is completely terrible now. Most people I know say that the only reasons they still watch are for Lafayette and for Alex (not Eric Northman, but Alex lol). Hopefully things will improve a bit this year now that Alan Ball has left the show. But I'm not holding my breath on that one. I'm just happy they've finally given Eric a love interest that is possibly worthy of him (or just appreciates him) in Nora.

Who watched last night? Without spoiling it for those who haven't, I will say it was so-so. More of the same mood and feel of season five. Nothing fresh. In seasons one through four, the season premiere always had an energy to it. I found that missing. Also, the show was so good at combining the absurd and fantasy with reality. You felt for the characters. Now, I find I don't really care.

The show is completely crappy now. I did really enjoy Eric this episode, showing his softer side quite a bit. And I still love Nora. I wanted Pam to get off her high horse and realize that there are bigger things than her in the world.

Anyone else get a major Terminator vibe when Billith walked out of the building? Which was awesome because of Robert Patrick now being a regular.

Sorry but I absolutely despise Nora, she is a completely useless character IMO. I would much rather they had killed her off and kept the techie vamp instead of her, she was waaaayy more interesting. After what I have read about this upcoming season, especially for Eric's storyline and yet ANOTHER love interest for Sookie, I think I am done with this show. I didn't even bother watching the premiere last night and this is coming from a (now-former) die-hard fan of all things Sookie. The only Sookie/TB thing I am remotely enjoying is the comic book series Michael McMillan (Reverend Steve Newlin) co-writes.

She also did not follow the rules of her own universe, and I was shocked at Sookie's regression.
    I completely agree.

What was obvious to me was Harris was "done" with the Sookie Stackhouse series/storyline. The last 3 books were a chore to listen too(I listen to audio books). The storyline was weak, characters were just a shadow of themselves and I was finished the series. I listened to the last two books back to back.

I hope the slow dying of this series won't hurt other supernatural stories that may be in the works to start. I would the works of Christine Feehan(Dark Series), Shelley Laurenson(Pride and Magnus Pack series), JR Ward( Black dagger Brotherhood), Larissa Ione(Demonica Series) or Kresley Cole(Immortals after Dark).

The books made her rich and famous. The whole series took on a new life after the debut of True Blood. She might have at least tried a little bit.

I didn't mind book 11, Dead Reckoning, but Deadlocked was awful and Dead Ever After only marginally better with a truly dull ending. Surely she could have paid someone to write it for her. Her writing style isn't exactly complex. Someone who had some sense of enthusiasm for the characters.

He's perfect for playing up Jason's air-headedness. And great grandpa fairie-godfather knows about his hidden porn.

    I love Rutger Hauer!!!

If they ever kill off Jessica.....I am done!!!! She is my favorite character on the show.

What is wrong with Jason? Do you think he might have a brain tumor?

The more I see of Ben, the more I think he's going to turn out to be a bad guy.

I think that somehow Jason's illness is related to Warlow. How, I'm not quite sure yet (maybe he's a Warlow portal?) but it's related I think.

I think that Pam is being way too much of a bitch. I loved Pam in seasons 1-2 but then the show realized how popular her sarcastic bitchiness was and now they really overdo it to the point where I just plain hate it and can't sympathize with her.

Still loving Nora. And does anyone else think that the governor's daughter looks a lot like her? How long until she and Eric have sex? And that coffin scene was insanely sexy (even the episode's director said that it was possibly the most erotic scene he's shot).

Really not caring about the Sam and Alcide stuff. I've never liked Alcide (orJoe), though.

    Loving Arlene!!

Anyone else hate that they always have to somehow try to redeem Bill? He was evil Billith but now it's so that he can save the vampire race and blah blah blah. Kudos to Sookie for shutting him down, but they'll probably be in love again by the end of the season.

Best part of the last episode: GINGER!!!! And Eric's promise that he'll come by and f**k her at some point (and that he keeps his promises).

Ok, I broke down and watched the first 4 episodes of this season. Surprisingly I am really liking it.

I still do NOT love Nora but I do agree that Willa (the gov's daughter) looks a lot like her. I would like her to get together with Eric, since clearly Sookie is never going to appreciate him properly, and she clearly would.

I hate hate HATE the way the show shoves Sookie/Bill down our throats. Why why why??? There is no logical reason why these two should or would ever get back together, and I don't think it would even be an issue were the actors not together in real life. Bill is completely unredeemable at this point and I think he is 100% responsible for what happened to the fairie kids and Jessica as capturing and keeping them was his dumb idea. I hope Andy kicks his butt next week 'cause he deserves it. Also, why would Sookie be thinking about Bill ALL THE TIME, so much so that Ben would overhear it in her head? I mean Sookie, BILL ALMOST KILLED YOUR BROTHER IN YOUR OWN HOUSE!!!!! Ugh. It makes me want to throw up. My husband is getting sick of hearing me say "those two cannot POSSIBLY get back together." I. just. DON'T. get. IT!!!!!!!

When did Alcide turn into such a jerk? He is making Book Alcide look like a saint in comparison. I really hate all the weres right now.

And for those who have not seen this week's episode:

For me, it's the character of Ricki (sp?). We're supposed to have some sort of affinity for her as Alcide's gf. What an worthless beatch. Even though Alcide is sort of a douche in the books, the weres aren't a bunch of lawless low lifes, which is how they're being depicted on TV. They live in shacks and none seem to have jobs. In the books, the leaders are pillars of society.

As for what was written in your spoiler tag, I'd say that coupling at least has some greater design. The former is just meaningless. I don't think it's being insinuated. Rather, it's simply placing everything in context.

    I don't think they are.

I'm assuming you're a fan of the books and of the Eric-Sookie pairing in particular.

Right now, it doesn't seem as if the show is doing much in terms of either of these pairings. It diminishes my enjoyment of what the show is (or is not) doing to read fan commentary that gets so angrily anti-Bill just to support a pro-Eric agenda. I don't think pairing either of these characters with Sookie is very relevant to the current state of the plot.

I am a fan of the books, and am a fan of Eric-Sookie in the books. The show has completely ruined Eric-Sookie for me, though, to the point where I do not think it is feasible that they could ever be together. At this point I would rather see Eric with the governor's daughter, as at least she would appreciate him and actually choose him. Sookie's continued preoccupation and thoughts about Bill so far this season are completely unrealistic, IMO, as well as the whole redeeming Bill storyline another poster mentioned earlier that seems to be being followed by the writers this season. And I don't agree that the show is not dwelling on the Bill/Sookie thing -- just last episode (ep 3), for example, during her 'prayer' to Bill, Jessica even said that she thinks Sookie still loves him!

I think the depth of Bill's betrayal is what's driving Sookie, not the desire to reunite with him. When he said, "You're dead to me," and she said, "I'm good with that," it was probably the best moment of season six so far. Loved the Jason/Ben dream. After Jason had Ben's blood I was fully expecting it, but it was still a hoot.

Anna Paquin has recently said in interviews that Sookie/Eric is not necessarily done. But she's also said that just getting over both Eric and Bill would be difficult because there is genuinely a love for both. And despite the fact that Eric will likely be having sex with Ginger, Nora and Willa at some point this season, I don't think we've seen the last of Eric/Sookie. Remember though, to Sookie it's been only a few months since she found out about bill (a year longer than that to everyone else). You don't just get over your first love with the snap of your fingers, no matter the reason the relationship fell apart. Just like you could see, during the giving back the house scene, that she still loves Eric.

I think that Season 6 has been really well done so far. I'd put it in my top 3 seasons of the show (after 1 and 3 and before 4 and 5).

The Ben/Warlow reveal was (to me) a surprise but then I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it - it was so obvious. Like his 'vampire attack' - where was the blood? Kudos to Sookie for not hesitating to get him, though kind of rolled my eyes (but also thought she kicked ass) with using her feminine wiles to get him.

Jason's dream was hilarious and his talking to Niall about it too.

Is anyone else wondering why Andy has not approached Sookie for any advice about the quadruplets?

And I agree that Alcide is a major douchenozzle.

More Arlene please! And love the Ginger. I'd love to see those 2 hanging out lol. Nothing makes a TB episode more than Ginger screams.

Also, forgot to mention the absolute BEST part of the episode. The convenience store clerk was the same one as from the very first scene from the first ever episode of the show.
