I believe "Survivor". But it runs 2 seasons per year sometimes.

Survivor just started its 27th season, apparently.

And the 20th season of America's Next Top Model started in August

Survivor (and some other shows) run for 27 seasons because they run 2 times a year. So, IMO, that is not at all the same. The Simpsons has been on air for 26 YEARS. Maybe we should be more specific. What show, if any, has been on for 26 YEARS or longer?

According to this, several. Multiple Soap Operas have been on for 50+ years. Sesame Street has been on for 43. Several game shows have been on for 30-40 years, like Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.

I enjoyed "Witches of East End". Good looking cast. I hope it gets a bit darker though.

Very much looking forward to the return of Rick Mercer on Tuesday. Stephen Harper beware!

I'll probably check out the remake of The Tomorrow People too. I remember watching it the year I lived in Scotland as a child, though I don't remember a lot of details so I won't be comparing the two versions.

Oh, and I'll definitely check out Once Upon a Time in Wonderland on Thursday. I originally thought "too soon" for a spinoff, but when I learned it would be a mini-series I decided that could be okay.

Still slogging through the pilot of Agents of SHIELD on my DVR. Does Coulson ever do anything but go around with a permanent half-smile on his face? I mean, yes, great character and all, but he's starting to seem a bit of a one-trick pony.

I have enjoyed both episodes of SHIELD, more than I expect. But I never look forward to the next episode. I never noticed the perma-grimaced smile until now. But the actor seemed to have that same expression on that Old/New Christine show too.

SH will probably get a DVR boost. Also, since Nielsen is now counting Twitter buzz, it may get some boost there.

Agreed. When I post ratings, they are usually preliminary. By the end of the day and end of the week after DVR ratings are factored in...some ratings change drastically. I'm surprised at how much viewership a show can get from DVR'ing.....and now twitter buzz. I believe "Sleepy Hollow" was the #1 DVR'ed show last week.

Cable ratings usually come out on the same day as Broadcast ratings, but for some reason they've been about 2-3 days behind lately.

I am enjoying The Originals. The second episode really sealed it for me for at least the remainder of the season. However...I don't like Klaus. Anti-heroes bore the hella out of me. I really, really, really would prefer that the show focus on Elijah and/or Rebekah (who was really quite brilliant tonight).

SHIELD was pretty fun. I love David Conrad.

Has anyone seen the series Bates Motel? As you can probably guess by the title, it's a prequel to Psycho. Norman Bates, the teenage years. Looks nice and creepy. It was just released on DVD and my library has picked it up, so I'm going to give it a try.

But I'd never even heard of it before -- I'm guessing it aired on the one of the US cable networks? (OK, just spelunked around and it looks like it aired on A&E. Which does not have a very good track record with original dramas recently ... but I'll still give it a go.)

I watched it and liked it enough to keep up. Farmiga is great.
