What a poignant tribute ... see it through to the end. How fitting and what an extraordinary woman!

    ETA:

The poem at the end of the video is so profound. There's more to it, but here it is again mostly as it was excerpted in the lovely and loving tribute:

You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day
cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death,
open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one,
even as the river and the sea are one.

In the depth of your hopes and desires
    lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like the seeds dreaming beneath the snow
    your heart dreams of spring.
    Trust the dreams,
for in them is hidden the gate to eternity…

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind
and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing,
but to free the breath from its restless tides,
that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence
    shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top,
then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs,
    then shall you truly dance.

Thanks for sharing that link and the poem aftershocks. I've never seen many of those pictures before, the ones from her earlier days in the Acting World, and was she one gorgeous lady and still was too.

BTW...Does anyone know where that picture of her as Queen Elizabeth I is from? From a Costume Party ep of the Y&R or for a play/movie she did? That was also a picture I've never seen before, but if anyone was fitting to wear or play one of the Greatest Queens of History, it was w/out a doubt Jeanne Cooper.

It was for a photo shoot for Y&R's fictional magazine, Restless Style. http://blog.soapoperafan.com/2009/04...-style-covers/

Here is a video of Katherine as the Queen of Hearts at a Y&R costume party from 1991: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=druZHgoLBK4

Reminder: Y&R's special tribute episode is airing this Tuesday, May 28. It's not a regular episode; it will feature other actors talking about her in the Chancellor living room.

The special stand-alone episode will feature Y&R cast members, family, and friends sharing their favorite memories. The show will also include past interviews and classic clips of the Emmy-winning actress.

The tribute was wonderful. Even better than I hoped it would be.
Corbin Bernsen did a segment, along with the other reminiscences.

I imagine it will be available on YT, soon, as well.
