Not saying he isn't guilty of being greedy or something, but often-times victims of sexual abuse don't realize what they experienced was actually sexual abuse because they either rationalize it as normal behavior or think they brought it upon themselves somehow.

Again, I'm not saying I know the facts, but I do think it's conceivable for him to go from saying MJ never sexually-abusing him to finally admitting it after intensive therapy sessions and learning more about the nature of sexual abuse.

Mackenzie Phillips wrote in her biography that her father and her engaged in incest, but that it was consensual. She changed her mind about the last part when she spoke to other victims of sexual abuse and realized that she did not really consent to the sexual advances or that the power a parent or an adult figure has on a minor makes it so that a victim really thinks it's consensual when the victim could not have fully consented psychologically.

Anyway, it's not as if he's a nobody. He's been working steadily for the past few years in some high-profile projects. That doesn't mean he doesn't have money trouble or that he doesn't see big dollar signs because whatever money he is making (which I assume is a lot), it's nothing compared to what he can win if his suit is successful. That said, he's putting himself through incredibly scrutiny and skepticism if he's only doing it for the money.

I think it's more than just money here. If he's finally working through his problems and ready to accept what happened to him (there is that denial thing people have mentioned) then it's possible he's finally realizing he does deserve some sort of compensation for what happened to him. We do not know how his relationship with Michael has affected his life etc., and maybe now he's realizing to what extent he was harmed. After all, sometimes you really don't know how you've been impacted by something traumatic until much later. By admitting this he may be looking for money, but he's also opening himself up to a lot of criticism and hate by the public and sometimes even a lot of money isn't going to heal the wounds of public villification.

Nice. Dead men can't defend themselves, and the Jackson kids get to see their family name and legacy dragged through the mud again. There's nothing to gain from this but money, and more crap for those poor kids to have to endure. Give it a rest already.

I'm not really sure why a(n alleged) victim of child molestation is obligated to "give it a rest" just because the (alleged) perpetrator has kids.

I agree that the Jackson kids have gone through a lot - hell, just being born in that family guarantees they will never, ever have lives anywhere approaching normal - but the crap they need to endure is a result of their father's choices and actions.

Jackson was always in bankruptcy because of his spending choices and now that spending is not there and the estate has been raking in the dough!!

Frankly, I have a really hard time believing that Robson's doing it for the money. He's well known, and has an established career. He also comes across as someone who's very private.

    Then again, you never know.

If Robson just wants the information out there, then why is he suing the estate?

I think Robson is one of many who was being paid off by MJ to keep quiet. Now that there are no more payoff checks, it's time to sue.

I tend to agree with this. Also, Wade was also trying to build a mainstream career in the early 2000's, so it would make sense that he would keep quiet at that time.

Reading some of the comments here makes me wonder if he's suing b/c he wants to tarnish MJ's reputation. Since his death, the molestation accusations seemed to be push to the background, and MJ's reputation has gotten better. I wonder if Wade got sick of hearing about how the victims were lying and trying to profit off Michael Jackson, when he knew the truth. It must be a bitter pill to swallow, especially since his lies helped get MJ off.

Part of me also wonder if this is a way for Wade to get some justice for himself. Since he can't accuse MJ anymore, he's doing it by proxy. Doing it through the court system is a way to get some validation for his words.

I think even if Wade is only suing for the money, given what Jackson did, the estate should pay. And if this lawsuit goes well, that means more victims can come forward and sue. The Catholic church had to pay, why not MJ's estate?

I didn't even think about the angle of he may be doing it for the money, but that doesn't mean his claims don't have merit or that his experiences are false. That could be true too. They may not be mutually exclusive.

Michael Jackson is dead. He cannot defend himself. Leave him alone at least in death.

I honestly don't understand this logic. So nobody's allowed to bring up any criminal behaviour of dead people? Why? Are MJ's kids' feelings more important than the feelings of potential victims?

    ^ This.

Don't forget too that MJ was a well-connected dude when he was alive, one that could probably pull strings with any artist and/or producer in the music industry--people with the power to, say, hire certain budding choreographers for major music/entertainment projects. In addition to getting his hush money, I sure Wade benefitted a lot from his association with Michael over years.

Not saying Wade didn't earn some of his success, but being MJ's "friend" probably opened many doors for him, and no doubt would've opened many more if he was alive today.

Now that he's dead, all that is gone. The Jackson family are ripping themselves apart fighting over his money, so no way they're sharing that with anyone else.

Maybe this trauma was repressed and he's suddenly coming to this epiphany now, but I highly doubt it. I guess I'm just cynical.

The fact that he's essentially suing a dead man doesn't instill much credence IMO. He had so many past opportunities to confess when MJ was alive, and even now he could share his story in an effort to help others and to finally confirm a darker truth to MJ's legacy (which is totally valid and admirable if the molestation did take place)--but why the money if he's so well-off in his career?

Really? Would you tell this to all the Jimmy Saville victims?
I guess the hard thing for a lot of people to accept is why God would allow me to go running through their yards, yelling and spinning around.

There was another negative story about MJ's behavior last week, but it didn't contain molestation allegations. Now I can't find it, but I believe it was about his drug use.

Then there was an article by some white actor from England claiming to believe he was biological father of Michael Jackson's children.

In any event, I find the timing of all this suspicious. His family & estate had just gotten the go ahead to pursue their 40 billion dollar lawsuit against the concert promoters who worked him to his death, so they say. I'm guessing there is actually some merit to the family's case.

It appears that someone is trying to harass Michael Jackson's kids through the media. The timing of Robson's accusations could be a horrible coincidence, but it all seems a bit strange.

New molestation charges against Michael Jackson

TMZ is reporting that Robson had a major nervous breakdown in 2011 and has not worked since. In other words, he hasn't made a dime in over 2 years. I guess the implication is that his break down was because of the molestation coming to the surface but I don't buy it at this point.

I don't think Michael should be left alone because he is dead but I do wonder how this suit will be handled. How is Michael going to defend himself? He could have an alibi or have witnesses to some of the moments when Robson claims he was being molested. Combine that with Robson already testifying under oath that he was not molested and I don't think this is right. He better have some serious proof.

I have no doubt at all that the association with MJ got Wade Robson's foot in the door (and probably a lot of his dance training too), but he is a ridiculously talented dancer and choreographer. And his biggest mainstream fame, which came from choreographing on SYTYCD, never even mentioned his association with Michael Jackson - I didn't know there was one at all until I'd started looking for more info. Whatever career benefit he had from being Michael Jackson's pal as a kid, he stopped using years ago.

i believed the maid when she said she saw them in the shower and i still believe her. i dont know that wade has any other proof than that but i hope coming out with it helps him make peace with himself and move forward.

A better strategy for Robson (if he is only looking for closure) might have been to come forward, but not sue.
