How was she robbed? She didn't meet the age limit. No robbery there as those are the rules.

She wasn't robbed considering the age limit rules. Even if Mao was allowed to compete, Yuna would have been allowed to represent her country and most people forget that at 2006 Junior Worlds, Yuna beat Mao for the first time.

Anyways, best of luck to Mao. She has strongly indicated that this may be her last Olympics, so I hope that she comes out strong and skates to her best potential.

Robbed? She wasn’t even there. And one month later she was beaten by 20+ points, when Kim won both SP and LP sections of 2006 JWC.

I think most skating fans would remember it since it was a pretty shocking and decisive result at the time. It’s rather Asada fans who choose to forget the facts. Many of them have peculiar way of reasoning and they are amazingly selective in remembering things.

Ooh, someone obviously has had too much lemon lime and bitters, without the Lemon and Lime.
I guess the hard thing for a lot of people to accept is why God would allow me to go running through their yards, yelling and spinning around.

You just can't help yourself, can you? I am sorry your initial pathetic attempt (post #16) did not get much support, better luck this time.

I really hope the final decision is left up to her. She's been through enough already; no need to force her into competing when her heart isn't in it.

In April 27th, the Yokohama Public Performance of the ice show "Prince Ice World 2013" started in Shinn-Yokohama Skating Center and Mao Asada (Chukyo University) charmed the audience with splendid performance.

It was her first participation to the show after she expressed about the possibility of retirement in the end of next season. Dancing gracefully to piano music of Chopin, she received with smiling face the bouquets from the audience.

Being Advised from Shizuka Arakawa of her costar, saying, "The process aiming at the Olympics is important", she made fresh resolve to next season, saying "I would like to do my best so as to be able to compete in my own pace".

Mao Asada participated to an ice show as a guest.
    April 27th, 2013 JST

In April 27th, Mao Asada (Chukyo University) participated to the ice show "Prince Ice World 2013" as a guest.

In this day, she showed the exhibition program "Ballade" which she skated 2 years before.

There was the scene, too, which she stuck out the tip of her tongue because the double Axel became the single Axel, but she brought down the house with finishing to skate splendidly.
    http://www.daily.co.jp/newsflash/gen...05935798.shtml

First, she planned to skate to the exhibition program "Merry Poppins" of this season, but she changed it to "Ballade" because she was pointed out from Takahiko Kozuka, saying "Do you perform the same program once again?"

Looking back to the performance, Mao said with satisfaction, "Although the shoes was brown before, I feel that all body was coordinated better than before because the shoes is white today".

(I think that it is perhaps because the exhibitions by the same music, such as GP Final, Japan National, 4Continents, Worlds, WTT etc, continued in the short term in this season.)

Here's hoping the "splendid performance" appears eventually; so we can applaud it, also!

Of course, I'd argue that her performance at WC 2013 was easily the best competitive work she's done since Worlds 2010 if not the Olympics outright. Plus she finally won the medal that eluded her.

For the compilation of skating life in Sochi Olympics, Mao choreographs with "eco"

Mao's performance which fascinated the audience.
    http://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/new...005697900.html

It is the choreography for her final dream stage. While Mao Asada who has expressed the intention of retirement from the eligible after the end of next season makes the programs of the short program and the free skating for 2014 Sochi Olympics, we found that her burden for traveling decreased more drastically than heretofore in April 27th.

Asada has already requested the choreography of next season, to Lori Nichol of Canadian residence as for SP and to Tatiana Tarasova of Russia as for FS. Both choreographers have taken charge of the choreography since 2010/20141 season, but so far, Asada used to go to the one country of Russia or Canada, to return home to Japan once and then to go to another country.
As for this year, she moves to the US after having finished the choreography of SP in Canada in the beginning of May. She learns the choreography of the FS from Tarasova who is staying in the US for the coaching of the other skaters. The person concerned explained that, saying, "The effect of decreasing the burden on traveling is large".

In this day, Asada participated to the ice show "Prince Ice World 2013" which was held in Shinn-Yokohama Skating Center. She performed gracefully not to the exhibition program "Merry Poppins" in this season, but to "Ballade No.1" by Chopin which she had used before two seasons.
She said, "This season becomes very important season for me." Suppressing the energy loss, she is walking to the compilation of her skating life.
