    Skating to patriotic music

Sasha Cohen (God bless America - Marshall's 2006)

    Todd Eldredge (Gettysberg)

Kristi Yamaguchi- Yankee Doodle (the dress is certainly patriotic)

    Paul Wylie - JFK

I don't know much about skaters from other countries skating to (their) patriotic music, but here is Gregorz Filipowski (Warsaw Concerto- 1989 Worlds LP)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmuArdNNsVk

Zagorska-Siudek also skated to Warsaw Concerto, but I can't find a yt link to it.

I *think* Scott Hamilton skated to "Battle Hymn of the Republic" @ some point in his career. Todd E. skated to "God Bless the USA" as an exhibition piece (circa early 1990's).

Scott did. The Carruthers skated to Ray Charles' "America the Beautiful" as their exhibition in Sarajevo.

I'm not sure what should be considered patriotic, but I think a lot of skaters used the folk ODs as an opportunity to showcase something from their country/culture; examples include the Kerrs' Scottish dance, O'Brien/Merriman's aboriginal dance, Faiella and Scali's Tammurriata Nera/Tarantella, and others.

Yuna Kim's Arirang (the program is called Homage to Korea, can't get more patriotic than that ).

There's also Kemp/King skating to Pomp and Circumstance this past season.

Didn't Philippe Candeloro do a tribute to the USA after 9/11 at COI?

Meno and Sand also used 'Pomp and Circumstance' in their FS once. I have no idea of the year. Of course they're not British, but the thread title just says "Skating to Patriotic Music".

Brian Boitano's 1987-1988 FS opens with the tune of "The Marseillaise".

From memory, I believe they skated to P & C for their short program during the 1998 Olympic Season. My friends and I laughed, wondering if John Nicks put them up to it.

Post 9/11 I remember a few "Battlehymn of the Republic" show programs, but don't remember whose. Michael Weiss, maybe?

Two programs from the 2001/2 season:

    Ina & Zimmerman's American Trilogy

Chait & Sakhanovski's Hava Nagila - it's not exactly patriotic, but very distinctive.

    It was.
He also skated the program a couple of times in Pro Competitions.

What a fun concept this was! Certainly nothing that had never been done before.

Sorry, personally I cannot think of anything more boring, embarrassing and ridiculous than to skate-dance-or-whatever to patriotic music, probably because I'm German?
