    Fingers crossed for TEB.
I'd like them to choose TEB too - maybe travel distances will come into it, as they'll already be going to Japan for GPF.

There have been several posts about what some skaters will choose, most notably, D/W - I am still curious as to whether seeded skaters assignment preferences are actually binding or not. Are the federations obligated to honor these requests, or do they have some leeway beyond the use of host picks? I would think that the federation footing the bill for the event should have some say in whom they want to invite.

What happens if D/W chose Cup Of Russia? They get first picks, right?

Strategically it makes sense. The Olympics are in Russia, if I were them I would want to have a test skate before the big showdown.

So in the first round they have the first pick? I would chose COR right from the get go.

The host picks come before the selection. It depends on what Russia wants to do. If D/W have said they want to do CoR, Russia could honor the request and not pick Bobrova/Soloviev in the host pick round. Or they could choose B/S as a host pick which would normally mean D/W couldn't compete at CoR---#1-#3 seeds aren't supposed to face off until the GPF.

Does anybody really think that Davis and White wouldn't want to skate in Detroit?

I think they will. I doubt USFS would want Gracie and Ashley to skate against each other early in the season. I have some guesses on who will be at SA. I'm thinking it will be either Max or Jeremy. Ashley or Gracie, D&W and Lynn and Logan or Zach and Maddie with maybe Daniel and Alex. For Pairs it maybe John and Caydee or Alexis and Chris. But those are guesses. With a ton of skaters in Detroit, most will travel from there. I know it's going to be good! And I will be there!!

I have an unconfirmed source that tells me that Aliona and Robin will be at CoR and CoC this fall.
Apparently all the skaters know already, and I know someone who knows Aliona.

I wish people here used last names. Am not on a personal name terms with most of the skates and most of the time have no idea who are u talking about.

With the olys in sochi why would Davis/white need a gp in Moscow?

There is nothing more captivating in this world than a woman's form gracing the ice in skating boots. It's simply sensational!
