Buttle loves the amazing race? Who would have thought. So how about Jeff and Scott pairing to compete on TAR:Canada?

Hmmm or we could do Jeff and Tessa?

I'd tune in for either pairing.
    Crazy about sports!

I'd choose him too. Scott seems like a great partner. Like the one who would carry you on his back if you cannot run anymore.

Basically teams of two (friends, family members, couples etc) fly around the world in a competition and have to complete different challenges relating to the country they are in, and the last team to make the checkpoint each episode is eliminated until the final where the first to make it win a million dollars (at least on the US version).

Thanks! I saw one episode of show like this. And yes, Scott will be better choice for this TV show.

First of all happy Mother's Day everybody! And second I love the amazing race, it would be cool if Tessa and Scott went on it (together lol).

Saw this interview of Kaitlyn and Andrew linked on twitter, but I see now that's its posted in GSD. Kaitlyn had this to say about Tessa and Scott when asked how show they feel about the fact that some feel that ice dance because of that focus on technique is losing it’s attractiveness:
I think that generally it’s more technical for sure, it’s a bit more complicated, but I think that is what separates the best teams, the good teams from the great teams is the ability for the audience to forget that they’re even doing required elements and become so lost in the program and I think that’s something you can see with Tessa and Scott. That’s something I’ve always loved about them since they were juniors. I’ve loved them for a long time. That’s something to work towards and I think they have the best balance of that. I think it’s a great way to separate teams. It makes you become more creative and maybe we don’t have the freedom that we’re used to. But I think when you do create something special within the system it’s more valued and people can appreciate something that’s really hits the mark of both aspects of that.
I hope both teams are having a great time at the Olympic summit thing.

Hello, lurker here but I thought this would be the best place to ask:

Was Tessa's free dance costume at worlds influenced by designer Zac Posen? I saw the Posen dress just recently and immediately was reminded of Tessa:

Look like yes. Maybe Tessa like this fashion designer.
Thanks, Shayii! Good to know someone from skaters respect what VM are doing on ice. Maybe it will be better for both teams to be in the same group?
So, Trankov will go to SA. Like I said before, Russian and USA federations will work together for OF. Now its interesting to know, what SC (without head if federation) will be doing?
    Off-figure skating season begin.

That's interesting. I don't rmr reading where Tessa (or the designer) got their inspiration from. I loved Tessa's dress, but really don't like the one January Jones is wearing.

You're welcome. And I don't even know anymore. I just feel the makeup in Canton is so weird. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I don't think your biggest rivals knowing all your moves and plans and whatever, is ideal; you know there's no surprise element anymore. They know what your music is, what your program is going to look like, etc., etc. And then one of your rival is dating the coach's son and the other is dating another coach in Canton--it's all just so very strange. But what do I know, just basing my feelings on what I see from the outside.

I think Trankov chose Skate America because it is the first Grand Prix and Cup of Russia is the last one. It gives them a lot of time to figure out what to do and where to improve. Tessa and Scott did the same with 2009/10 season with chosing TEB and Skate Canada (first and last Grand Prix). And in the anouncement about his retirement, Benoît Lavoie said, he will stay until their is a successor.

I admit, the situation is not ideal but for both teams, because Tessa and Scott know all their moves as well. That is why I was so glad, they started working with Jean-Marc Generaux and where Montreal, no one could see their SD while in the making. Or that they work with people who know them for a while now. And Skate Canada is doing something right, they prevent Marina from working in Canton due to sending her to Dance and Coaches Seminars in Canada which she has to do as Canadian coach.

DW, Belbin, C-B are at Brook Castile wedding now.
And like i understand, Tessa and Scott now will start traning. Hope they will be along there

At 2009 WCh V-M get third place, so they choose there GP events last, so thats why they skated at TEB (last GP).
As for Trankov. They will not skate at CoR, but at NHK.

Trankov doesn't want to skate at home? Where is all this information; is he telling his preferences or does he know what his assignments are?

I have no idea how lifting Scott has anything to do with him teaching Skiers how to skate but he seems to have fun: https://twitter.com/manuelracing/sta...030656/photo/1

I hope that being first in the world will help Tessa and Scott next year. Who knows maybe they will win their first GPF http://www.isuresults.com/ws/ws/wsdance.htm

BTW, yes. At least I have hope they will win GPF next season. And I have a little hope not all was bought by NBC yet, but deal already was made.
Its funny, if VM.competed with Russians, Canadians media will have totally different reaction on what is going on with VM
