    Also noticed on twitter that Violetta and Mathieu Dandenault are now following each other - perhaps another team?

    Amanda has some pictures on her Instagram with Jessica, Sinead and Marcy at a TIFF event, which makes sense if they're all in the cast

    Sounds great to me!

    According to a posting on Blades FB, they will be releasing the names of competitors beginning Sunday and going on daily through the week. Some folks are getting a bit PO'd with the "tease" approach being used.

    I'm looking forward to Sinead. The dancers seem to bring the most interesting programs (even if the pair girls wind up winning).

    Not looking forard to more Americans, though. Or Jessica Dube, for that matter.

    Amanda Evora is lovely. I loved her skating with Mark Ladwig. And I've met her in person and she's very nice. I'll be cheering for her, American or not! In fact, I might cheer for her over Dube

    I went to the FB BOTB page but declined joining as they wanted complete access to all of my FB friends! No way am I knowingly going to do that to my friends, none of whom are interested in skating. Can't say I like the "tease" approach; it might appeal to those casual fans who ar3e on the fence but it does nothing for me. I just hope mackiecat is right and Shae is a part of it. Looking forward to seeing Sinead! And I'll welcome any skater, no matter what country they come from!

    "Breaking news" released by Battle of the Blades on Facebook this morning - the judges for this season will be:

    * Jamie Sale
    * PJ Stock &
    * Kurt Browning (who will be pulling "double duty" they say).

    No more Sandra on the judging panel

    The CBC has been doing a live video broadcast at 12:30 p.m. from TIFF (the Toronto International Film Festival) and today is the last one. They have included promos for CBC shows and Kurt is supposed to be part of the broadcast today with a "tease" for Battle of the Blades. Check it out here: http://www.cbc.ca/live/livestream-cb...t-1230-pm.html

    Interesting that Sandra is coming off the judging panel....maybe she wanted to be involved in the creative/choreography?
