95% of the time: gradual reform.
5% of the time: radical change.
I pulled those percentages from the air and feel like a latter-day Jacobin for going as high as five percent with the second figure.
Comes the revolution, I'll be __ up against the Wall of Prats.

Global warming comes with problems, but it's actually delaying the onset of the next ice age (due in just 1500 years) which poses a far greater and devastating/even extinction level threat to humanity. It will delay the next ice age by disrupting normal patterns of glaciation and studies have found that it could delay it by tens of thousands of years. Hence, the argument goes that it is far better to keep pumping out greenhouse gases to stave off another ice age to deal with the far bigger problem, rather than do the reverse. The extra tens of thousand of ice age free years could buy humanity enough time to find ways to make an ice age survivable, and even prevent it from happening altogether. On the other hand, higher sea levels and the other issues that come with global warming, whilst they are problems, pose nothing like the threat of another ice age. Do you agree or disagree with this argument?
