Pushing Daisies. Lee Page and Kristin Chenoweth were amazing.

I forgot to list Pushing Daisies! I loved that one too.
An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Oh, I forgot about Pushing Daisies, probably because they did have a chance to at least wrap things up. Better off Ted was awesome too. I watched the whole thing on Netflix all at once.

Kings---it was on NBC a few years ago, and was a modern telling of the Biblical story of Saul and David. I loved the show, and it's one of the few shows I have on DVD.

Something in me would have died if it had been Scott.
I always preferred Scott but I think that mainly had to do with the actor that played him. Anyone else probably would've taken the character in a more distasteful direction, but I think Kevin O'Rourke did an admirable job in making Scott a rakish scoundrel that actually had a heart.

Personally, I hoped at the end that both Victor and Scott would've turned to Betty and told her that due to her wishy-washy nature, they were both dumping her and she could curl up next to her typewriter every night. They were going to go fight after Maple instead.

I liked Betty, I guess because I liked the whole "naive young intern ends up den mother to a pack of lunatics" thing. (And could identify with it a little. ) But Scott and Maple would have made a good couple. Or Scott and Hilary. I actually liked the Jeff-Hilary-Scott triangle more than I ever liked the Victor-Betty-Scott one, and I like to think they would have moved in that direction if they'd had another season.

By the way, John Bedford Lloyd and Kevin O'Rourke ended up on the same episode of Blue Bloods a while back. I squeaked when I realized they were both there. O'Rourke's been on there a few times . . . as a priest! Pretty un-Scott-like. The only way Scott ever would have been dressed as a priest would be for a scam. I do agree he's a really good and personable actor.

Which tv show was cancelled too early?

An APTN soap opera set in a First Nations casino called "Cashing In." When I watched the last episode on DVD, I felt as if I had eaten the last potato chip out of the bag.

    Sportsnight--love me some Sorkin!
Joan of Arcadia--Too many notes from suits screwed this show up
Terriers--one season on FX and they dumped it. I loved the show and the charactors
Cafe Americain'--Old Valerie Bertinelli show that was essentially Cheers set in Paris. Great concept, nobody but me saw it

    Another vote for Firefly

Also, a show back to the mid to late 80s, Crossbow, a show about the adventures of William Tell starring Will Lyman and Jeremy Clyde. At least I've been able to find some episodes posted on Youtube

Agree - another show I LOVED that only lasted a season was Swingtown - but Trina found out she was pregnant in the last ep, and part of me is glad not to have seen where that went.

Another night time show that had great possibilities and didn't make even to a full season was Central Park West - another great cast.

The one that always comes to mind when this question comes up is the very short lived American Embassy. They didn't even show all the eps that were filmed - barely had a chance, and yet it was full of possibility.

The Unusuals -- <= because, Jeremy Renner (plus it was a great quirky show)
    Keen Eddie

And honestly, Zero Hour deserved more than 3 episodes. It was a train wreck of a show, but entertaining in a cracked out sort of way

Also agree with everyone who said Pan Am.

Honestly, this is why I will very very rarely watch a new show. If I love it, it'll get cancelled.

I remember Profit too - quite unique I thought.

Another different one was Grapevine back in 1992 - only lasted a few eps, featured people talking to the camera long before Modern Family. Amusing for Survivor fans as well - Penner was in it.

Also, I wanted to add Kindred: The Embraced series(1987). I remember the lead actor Mark Frankel died in a motorcycle accident shortly after the show ended. He was an absolutely beautiful man.
