Cancelled after an episode or two or three: My Generation, Parenthood (the one back in the 90s)

One season and that's it? Relativity, My So-Called Life, Reunion, The Class, Retro Ice, The LA Complex, GCB, Rags to Riches

Got a pretty run but still could've done so much more: thirtysomething, Once & Again, American Dreams, Up With Chris Hayes, Battle of the Blades, Popular

It was on forever but still cancelled too early: Another World

Oh, I forgot about Wonderfalls! I loved that show. I have it on DVD.

Pasadena: It was a great and kind of dark nightime soap that starred Dana Delaney and Belthazar Ghetty. Timing was not on the show's side, though - the show debuted a month after 9/11 and one of the main plots involved a deranged man committing suiced in the first episode.

Speaking of Belthazar Ghetty. I was bummed that Brothers & Sisters was cancelled.

My first thought was Homefront- I loved that show.

And then I remembered Dollhouse- and if I could bring back any show, that would be it.

    Firefly (duh)

    Invasion
    Life on Mars (recent)
    The Nine
    Spies
Basically any Wed 10pm drama that ABC aired during the LOST years I got hooked on them all, and they all got cancelled way too quickly. Most crushed about Invasion, though

    The Event
    Dollhouse
    Caprica

and of course Freaks and Geeks

As much as I love Arrested Development, I don't think any series that got 3 seasons can be called "cancelled too soon". Fox actually put a huge effort into finding it an audience - that one is more the fault of viewers for not watching.
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?
A: Competition forums on the board are available to those with a Season Pass or a premium membership How to View Kiss & Cry

That could be said of a lot of shows. We could actually have a pretty long thread about shows that dragged on WAY too long and should have been put out of their misery.

Ohhhhh, yes! Loved that one! Although a tiny part of me is relieved that we never actually got Betty's romantic storyline resolved, because I was rooting SO HARD for Victor (fancy-word-loving* undercover anti-Nazi agents for the win!!), but it seemed like everyone else was rooting for Scott. Something in me would have died if it had been Scott.

(Yes, I do take my shows way too seriously, why do you ask? )

Another one I thought of: a little-known but really good show called Mysterious Ways, with Adrian Pasdar. I think it only went one season.

*Seriously, when she asked him to repeat what he said on their romantic walk by the river, and he said that thing about the confluence of the Allegheny and the Monongahela, I wanted to hug him myself.

    Firefly!

Day Break; a police detective (Taye Diggs) is framed for murdering the Assistant DA, and lives the same day over and over again while trying to solve the murder. Each day he brings forward the memories/knowledge of the previous day. My husband and I enjoyed the six episodes we saw before it was cancelled.

We also liked "Dont Trust the B-"
