    Gwyneth Paltrow's Spring Wardrobe Recommendations...Only $450K

    http://www.celebitchy.com/287590/gwy...u_back_458003/

I'm thinking that Gwynnie, being a celeb and all, didn't have to pay the full $450K to get all of these....

I was hoping she had done something more interestingly stupid this time. (I think she does this list every year and it's always outrageously expensive.)

Oh, Gwynnie. At least pretend that you're suggesting that your readers find similar, cheaper looks rather than designer pieces. Ugly designer pieces. The only thing that looks good is the Victoria Beckham dress, and I guess the red Jimmy Choos - but they hardly look special enough to justify their cost.

BTW, she has no idea how to model. Did she pick out those photos herself?

But the good news is now she's 40, we can all be less jealous of her.

Those don't look too bad but I don't see why they cost so much. Hopefully they were all made locally by unionized well paid workers so it would be ok by me then.

Ah, Gwyneth, leading the hatemobile away from Anne Hathaway like a faithful plover.

The last look makes me . So you want me to spend how much to look like a college student?

I only saw the look at the front of the article. It looked like something you could pick up at Target or Kohls. I liked it though I never wear anything polka dot-y because that look doesn't look good on me and I avoid white for many reasons. But I think it's a cute outfit. OTOH it's not ground-breaking and it really shouldn't cost more than $250 tops.

I can't get over how awkward she looks in the photos. The poses are so weird. She isn't much of a model.

Yeah, I finally figured out how to see them all (um, it's called SCROLL!) and she is not good at that. Is she always that awkward modeling or is it the photographer's fault?

Anyway, I liked the Beckham dress too. And the red jacket (though again not to wear myself). Everything else was meh or horrifyingly bad.

    Not with those gunboats...

She has become so insufferable lately.

ITA about the Beckham dress. It is the only thing I would wear. It is shocking that someone would pay so much money to be so badly dressed.
A good rant is cathartic. Ranting is what keeps me sane. They always come from a different place. Take the prime minister, for example. Sometimes when I rant about him, I am angry; other times, I am just severely annoyed - it's an important distinction. - Rick Mercer

However, there is justice in the world. Pippa has been dumped by her literary agent. So at least there's that.

What I don't understand is that she was raised about as normally as you can be raised considering your parents are both involved in the acting biz. Her mom went to my HS which appeals to the upper middle class (not upper class) socially conscious lefty who isn't into designer duds and consciously avoids pretentiousness to the point that it's almost pretentious (if that makes sense). Of course that only means her grandparents had those values. But still... everything I hear about the family would lead me to believe they would raise down-to-earth kids who were in touch with reality.

Blythe seems lovely. But I think it was Bruce Paltrow who spoiled Gwyneth, by Gwyneth's own admission.
