Boring. Why should they be all sportsmanlike and not have opinions and not believe in themselves.

Ben is a total sweetheart I'm told.
Todd Eldredge is supposed to be a nice guy too.

Obviously I'm biased (see username ), but by all accounts, Paul Wylie is a good one.

I always interpret a big ego with a lack of confidence in one's ability. The very best do not need to tell/convince others of their greatness.

Actually, I would bet everyone mentioned has a HEALTHY ego. You don't get to be an Olympic medalist by being a shrinking violet and aw-shucksing. People who go around proclaiming their own greatness, especially at the expense of others, are generally dealing with insecurities.

Daisuke is exceptionally humble. Not that he likes losing.

Trankov Plushenko and Moir are especially humble.
But actually I'd say that tong and Zhao were pretty humble

First one who came to my mind was Daisuke.

And well, not that he's successful NOW, but Tomas Verner is an absolute sweetheart. And he was so during his successful years too. He's one of the most approachable skaters I've ever met.

But the thread would be much more fun if we talked the ones with biggest egos

In terms of Olympic champs, Urmanov comes to mind. He always came off very humble and classy, and it seemed to take him until 97 to even be comfortable with the pressure of being Olympic champion. Of course just when that started happening and he was at his best, he wound up getting injured.

Charlie White? He always seem classy in victory and defeat. Also Ben Agosto, Tim Goebel, Urmanov, Ilia
