I didn't get the impression from him that he thought he'd be skating with her. Josh & Tim both had their tryouts right around the same time. Following the try out he seemed ok with the outcome.

Tim and DeeDee are still doing well -- it's been fun to be skating on a few sessions with them lately as they choreograph for the new season. There's a fun video on Tim's page of the two of them and Maxim Kovtun (all three at once) doing SBS 3Sals. Of course, Maxim has to work on his timing to synch with Tim and DeeDee...

^How do their SBS 3sals look?

BTW, I'm not advocating a break-up of L/L. I find them mesmerizing. But, I'm just curious as to how he would look w/ Caitlin. Interesting that they tried out ...

Rock solid on that day. Well time. Looks like the video can't be shared if you're not FB friends, otherwise I'd post it for you all to enjoy. (It's not on youtube).

Different conversations at different times. Who knows what he really thought. I can only say what he told me.

Have there been any updates on Caitlin? I just watched the TSL interview with her and I was wondering if there were any tryout rumours for this season.

Each passing season and each failed partnership make me more pessimistic about her chances to find the right partner

Jamie Sale was without a partner for what was it, three-four years? Maybe there's hope yet for Caitlin...

Caitlin, imho, is the best female pair skater to come out of the USA. She's the Oksana Baiul of pair skating.

And on that note she's not getting any younger, time to find a partner overseas, hopefully Russia, whom have a treasure trove of riches when it comes to pair skaters. Their tradition in pair skating is impeccable. *bow*

So I say do whatever is necessary to switch countries (pains me to say this btw as I am very patriotic), sit out this Olympics, and get her groove on with a Russian pair skater guy (her style of skating reminds me of the old Soviet Union anyway).

She does need to look outside of USA. I have to agree with you about Russia. I was thinking more of Canada due to the proximity, but her style is more like Russia/Ukraine.

Although there is an official USFS release policy, because they periodically announce that it's been amended, but it isn't public, who knows how long USFS can hold her hostage?

I believe it would be three seasons under the current policy for Caitlin, but I'm not sure. But, why do we even think she is looking now?

Is it 3 seasons since she last competed for the US? Or 3 seasons from when she finds her foreign Mr. Right?

It should be three seasons from her last international competition but who knows what USFS might do. I would also think that she's already moved for greener pastures, however.

Her last international competition with Coughlin was Worlds in April 2011. She and Reagan were scheduled for two GPs, one as a substitute, but they never competed. I don't know if they were scheduled for a Senior B as well.

Scroll down to Senior Pairs. Caitlin Yankowskas/Hamish Gaman GBR!!!

Very surprising. Gaman is 30 now and he hasn't competed in quite a long time (he has been coaching). He also never really had success on the international stage, if I can recall correctly. Here's his old ISU bio: http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00007084.htm

Wow that's an interesting development for Caitlin. Who knows if it will remotely work out for her and Hamish. Wish them well.

Wow, competing for GBR. Is she eligible to compete for GBR at Worlds? Olympics?
