    I would have never even thought of that as a 'crotch shot' until I read this. I would have just seen it as an action shot, and one where she doesn't look that bad. Certainly better than all the horrific jump faces they publish.

    The editor could have selected a better photo, but this one isn't really that big of a deal. She commented once that she liked the photo, and once that it was neither a bad photo nor a good photo, so since she isn't upset, this is much ado about nothing.

    That link didn't work for me but I did eventually track down the story (no, not by Googling "Kaetlyn Osmond crotch shot"; I searched for her name + "front page" ). We've seen stuff like that plenty of times before, even with younger skaters - I really don't think it's such a big deal. Have the people complaining never seen skating on TV (or live)?

    Ita on this. You see people wearing dental floss in beach photos---I think this is tame. I'm glad to see she is smiling and not pulling a weird face while spinning.

    I don't really see much outrage, except from the pubic-- I mean public-- editor. I think it's a nice picture and I see that Kaetlyn herself agrees and is fine with it.

    It's not the most flattering picture but it's probably better than a jump face picture. I doubt she's bothered.

    I will say that coming from a skater's perspective it's no big deal since you do things like this all the time. If you're on FSU, you know that these things are very run of the mill. But coming from a layman who doesn't watch skating, it might prompt a different response since they aren't used to seeing stuff like that. It's like pairs lifts. For someone who never watches skating, they sometimes look a bit personal but people who watch skating regularly don't even think of those things.

    While it isn't wholly flattering shot, it is an action shot. I am sure tbere are akot of unfkatteri.g oictures of all skaters that they themselves that thecringe at or considered "crotch shots"that was action shots.

    I think that the outfit looks like cheap latex makes it worse - I don't think it would have been a big deal if it had been a different fabric? I agree it looks like an action shot, the editors probably chose it since it was nice and dynamic, but she has a great expression since she is not doing anything like jumping or spinning.



    well, at least it isn't lacy undies ...
