Omg guys I just checked the Skate America roster...and WOW!! Oh boy this is going to be gooooooooooooooood!!!!!!!! Too bad I live in Chicago..but Detroit isn't far from here at all.
I find it hilarious that all but one of the dance teams listed for Skate America already train in Michigan, if only part-time for some.
And the Shibutanis have the same events as D/W too! Hope we get some good Shibs Sibs shenanigans this year.
seriously, what the hell are you even doing here?
I'll be in NYC for the next two years for school but I am going to be doing everything in my power to find a way to get to Detroit that weekend. I doubt I'll be successful but I have to try. I lucked out last year, since Kent is only a stone's throw away.
Is anyone planning on going to Nationals? I reserved a hotel room but am still mulling over it (mainly due to cost)
There should be a large D/W contingent at Nationals.
I'm going to Nationals
I'm going to try! I have no idea where I'll be at that point (location or finances) but I so want to see them live this season. And if my best friend gets the job she's going for in Boston I'll have a floor to sleep on...not that's why I want her to get the job lol. But it would be a perk for me at that time of year.
I can't wait to hear some news on their programs!
Mm..okay because if I do go, I'll be travelling alone . NONE of my friends are figure skating fans
If I can't get to Skate America, I'm going to try for Nationals. I'll be in NYC so it shouldn't be too difficult to get there. Just a matter of costs.
The only chance for me to see them this season is going to Olympics - so, I will.
NY <-> Boston buses are the way to go for students! Dirt cheap. Amtrak is so comfortable but it's comparatively expensive. The Chinatown bus should be experienced at least once. And it's nowhere near as sketchy as Greyhound buses in the rest of the country.
