Very cool article about how Meryl and Charlie inspired world junior pairs champions Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier.

    What a great compliment!!

And I love John's comments about how it was to work with Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze. I wish more pairs would pay attention to stroking and speed.

I also loved hearing about Aliona and Robin. They aren't media fans, so this is nice. Robin mature and calm? Not really a shocker from the man who agreed and performed in stride to Barbie Girl. Something tells me that wasn't his first choice :p.

It will be nice to see their FD, knowing they took pointers from Meryl and Charlie. I'll try not to hold it against her that her sister is Caydee. I feel like Maxim and Tatiana, more so Maxim, could work on their basic skating skills too.

What is wrong with Maxim's basic skating skills?

Meryl's bikini is so cute. That is some trademark Meryl purple.

Derek Hough choreographed a great quickstep (and an amazing free style) for Kellie Pickler last night. How long until Skate America again?

Speaking of which, did anyone identify which lift from Meryl & Charlie did Derek use for Kellie? Which dance was it in (I have to confess I haven't been following DWTS very closely this season).

This is probably complete nonsense, but I saw this comment under this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2auou58sUa0

A little birdie told me (not official yet), D/W will be using Goodbye, Lenin and The Fire Bird - Stravinsky for their FD.

Derek Hough will be choreographing the Quickstep SP.

Or wore lavender pleather or a very wild psychedelic unitard. Or a clown costume.

I can see Derek choreographing the short dance. I think that's almost a given at this point.

I agree; it's the other bit to be taken with a grain of salt.

    Good to know!

I did think Goodbye, Lenin! was a bit on the nose for Sochi.

I don't see how those two pieces would even go together. Isn't the Goodbye Lenin soindtrack by Tiresome?

It is by Yann Tiersen, the same composer as Amelie. And no the two couldn't fit together.

I was watching the Quickstep that Derek performed with Kellie Pickler. Man I'm getting excited. I can't wait to see the SD.
