The Accordion I hope you have a great time. That part in your post about it being the last time you will see them competitively and you just wanting to enjoy it, almost made me tear up. I think it started with this new montage Martiza just shared today and it made me nostalgic…next season is gonna be really hard.

But i didnt saw them "live" before 2010 WCh and the skated great, so fingers crossed for clean skating!
The Accordion!, i hope you is V-M lucky charm Enjoy every minute of WCh, not only V-M. Nothing could be compared with WCh - so many fans from different countries, so many skaters and coaches, and fan-zone - amazing! And look, like crowd is already amazing - SO for Patrick!

IoanaC, Yeeess! Cant wait your reports! Have a great time!
Guys, Ioana coudnt upload videos, because hournalists coudnt do this or she could never have accreditation again.

Blumberg at 4CC was with Zhukivsi, who alwayse support canadians and guys from GB - tow voice against one Blumberg
Its funny, but V-M with Marie only one time had bonus - at last year WCh.

PEZazzz, thank you for the practice report and since I will be popping in and out of the thread I want to thank all the rest of the FSUer's attending Worlds for their reports as well.

I also hope everyone who gets to see Tessa and Scott live really enjoys the experience and being at Worlds in general.

ITA with those who feel that V&M have everything they need to win the competition but we know that at times they have no control over what it is the judges decide to do. Components marks these days do seem synonymous with speed so what I really want is for Tessa and Scott to end their season by skating two amazing performances that they and their hometown audience can really be proud of no matter what happens.

gerbil, I'll do a *turn, spit, curse* right along with you.

    Good Luck guys!

    Accordion,
You said it so well. I too remember how things were after 4CC per Olys in 2010 and the tightness in the chest at that time....
I leave tonite and am going to enjoy to the fullest. Hope they have the competition they want and are on top of the world like they should be.

@ BourneKraatzfan P/B looked good. They some trouble with the twizzles during their run-through ( bourzat fell), that seemed to take a little steam out from them. But they looked strong and had private ice ! W/P also looked good.

Just like Dorothy and her magic red shoes saying "there's no place like home" I too am hoping that our V/M stay in their magic bubble while they are "at home". I'm getting so excited just to read the reports here at FSU and to watch it all live at home. Yeppers, there IS no place like home.

Tessa & Scott -- regardless of what the judges do or say or give, you'll always be champions to me. You're the reigning Olympic Champions! a golden couple.

You will never be "former Olympic Champion". And who know, could other team become OGM?

Yes, I am that weird type of a fan - I follow everything that others have written in the V/M thread, think about it a lot, then instead of replying to someone for real, I kind of do it in my head, which in the end almost makes me forget that in reality I haven't written anything here for a long time .
Not weird! I do that too - maybe not in this thread. But I do that in threads where I don't feel like getting involved in uber wars and in the political threads.

It's all about peaking now, for this competition. One thing we should all know by now: If V/M have a full season, they'll be ready in the end for whatever the big event is. We've just got to have faith in them that they can do this.
V&M are what I call "clutch" skaters. They manage to get it done when it counts. I feel positive about their chances.

Yes, I agree they will probably be behind R&T. I didn't agree with a lot of things in that list... it was like 2 NA teams, then all the Euros in random order, then all the NA teams to round out the top 10. I expect the results to be more evenly distributed than that. And I think I&K have an upward momentum, so I don't see them dropping behind C&L, much as I prefer C&L's FD.

Loved your post, especially this. Farracus is so similar to Carmen, not just in tone, but because it's one of the most difficult dances they've ever done and it absolutely required speed and timing to work, and they were able to nail it at the right moment.

It will be interesting to compare their performance of Carmen in London to Mahler in Vancouver. I was not privileged to see Mahler live, but even watching on TV you could sense the support of the crowd. That performance was just the easiest I have ever seen in skating. It felt like nothing was work, and they just flowed right through it without a bit of effort, like it was one sustained moment from the first time they pushed off their blades everything fell into place. You could hear the crowd erupting at every element but yet at the same time Tessa and Scott were having a very intimate moment. Carmen is a different dance, one which projects outward and should feed off the crowd. I'm really excited to see it and jealous of everyone who will be there live!

New dress for Tessa in SD. White underskirt looks layered and might bounce nicely in the YP.

And whatever happens this week just at their lines and how close they skate together. True ice dancers in every sense of the word.

Thank you! Happy to see them again
Read Tessa had mistake on twizzels and they had problems with lift exit. Maybe because of new dress?

It's a nice looking dress but I really have loved the flow of the other. Perhaps bouncy will work better for the YP portion of the dance. Thanks for the link to that photo -- and to whomever posted it.

I'm so nervous with anticipation, I want them so badly to have perfect skates, regardless of the result. I'm not sure that I'm even going to be able to have the courage to watch it live, I might have to wait to hear the results first . . .

Yeah the exit lift was a bit of fluke...they themselves found it a bit funny I think tessa had her foot to high up as she landed and thought she might hit scott with her foot but either way she tilted a little backwards and then regained her balance. As for twizzles, they were a little hesitant not too much flow but I don't recall seeing a mistake... They definitley got the most crowd support. It's surprising to see so many people in the stands for practice, the lower bowl looks 70% full. But good practice, they did the entire SD. Here they are at the media circle:

Frankly, I'm terribly disappointed that she changed that "pavonine", gorgeous dress. I hope the new one looks better live than on picture and doesn't affect the fluidity, flow and lightness of movement.

By the way hello VM fans
