So Skate Canada sees fit to send Junior Men and Novice Boys, but no Ladies? Shortsighted as usual.

There is a Novice Girl from Canada entered. And is Skate Canada sending them or did the skaters enter on their own?

Is Zachary Daleman the younger brother of Gabrielle? He won Pre-Novice Men at Challenge. Lily Markovski was 8th in Novice at Canadians. Denis Margalik won silver in Junior Men and is likely to be on the JGP next season.

Skate Canada doesn't currently have any development assignments listed: http://www.skatecanada.ca/Developmen...fault.aspx#dev

whoops, i was wrong. Daleman and Lily both skate out of the richmond hill training centre, but with different coaches. Margalik trains with robert otoole out of various other toronto clubs. so, not sure of the connection, other than the fact they all train in toronto/suburbs

Missed one - Antony Cheng won the Novice Men's bronze medal at 2013 Canadians and also trains in the Toronto area (Thornhill FSC): http://www.tfsc.ca/wp/antony-cheng/

Re-posting this local article on Denis Margalik, 15: http://www.thestar.com/sports/figure...-growing-pains

ETA: The Senior Men's event won't count for ISU World Standings ranking points because a minimum of 8 entries is required.

I love finding out about skating competitions in my hometown on FSU, especially when they are over.

Perhaps I am not as big of skating fan as I thought...

RFOS "And is Skate Canada sending them or did the skaters enter on their own?"

fan "so, not sure of the connection, other than the fact they all train in toronto/suburbs"

From my understanding it's COS Skate Canada who sent these skaters

    Interesting, thanks.

I wonder if Patinage Quèbec funded, or helped fund, the 6 Canadian skaters that competed at Lombardia Trophy in Italy in September 2012? http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/show...1-23-September
