I am surprised that Vincent Zhou (J1) isn't getting a development international. Did he decline or is he not age-eligible?

Vincent turned 12 in October, so he's eligible only for Novice-level events. He won't be JGP eligible until 2014-2015.

    Team USA updates...

Jordan Moeller is the designated blogger: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/artic...&vkey=ice_news

    A few photos: http://web.icenetwork.com/photos/gal...nt_id=43599208

Here are links to the Team USA press release and article.

Adam Rippon wrote a short blog for his site before he left (he will debut his new long program at Gardena).

I'll post the starting orders when they're up.

Chtchetinina LOULIA is one of the best names we've seen lately. How on earth is that pronounced?

I think they switched first name and last name around, they did it with some other names, too. The first name should be Loulia (pronounced Lulia) and the last name is probably pronounced "Shchetinina". It looks like a French transcription of a Russian name to me.

Does anyone know if this event will streamed live? And, if yes, what the link might be? Thanks!

I probably did not understand correctly what Adam meant, but does he kind of say he will do a new free skate without jumps as he was not able to train them after his injury? I guess he won't do that but I am a bit worried about his future, I really love his skating.

It was not quite clear whether he intends to jump or not. I gather from the blog that , as he only started jumping two weeks ago, the jumps will not be his focus at Gardena. Perhaps he'll do easier jumps as "place holders" for the future?

I just LOVE Kozuka. I hope he can skate well.

Hoping Adam can have a good showing even with easy jumps? (Am I evil for hoping he places better than Mroz, even with doubles?)
