    Worlds Min-score Achievers- 2012

I'll have to get more organized about compiling all the min-scores achieved during the Senior B comps, but for now, I'll do the GP series skaters-I was going to do the 4CC and Euros too but almost everyone on the GP makes those so or at least has in the past, so its kind of pointless. I'm just listing which skaters made the min at this particular comp- not whether they have in the past (which I or someone should do at some point)

ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2013:
    MEN SP 35,00 FS 65,00
    LADIES SP 28,00 FS 48,00
PAIR SKATING SP 28,00 FS 45,00
ICE DANCE SD 29,00 FD 39,00

    SKATE AMERICA
    MEN
SP- Hanyu, Kozuka, Abbott, Machida, Menshov, Mahbanoozadeh
FS- Kozuka, Machida, Hanyu, Brezina, Menshov, Mahbanoozadeh, Razzano

    PAIRS
    SP- Volosozhar/Trankov, Pang/Tong, Denney/Coughlin, James/Cipres, Castelli/Shnapir
    FS-Volosozhar/Trankov, Pang/Tong, Denney/Coughlin, James/Cipres, Castelli/Shnapir, Donlan/Speroff

    DANCE
    SD- Davis/White, Weaver/Poje, Bobrova/Soloviev
    FD- Davis/White, Weaver/Poje, Bobrova/Soloviev, Kriengkrairut/Giulietti-Schmitt

    LADIES
SP- Wagner, Sotnikova, Gao, Meite, Marchei
FS- Wagner, Sotnikova, Gao, Meite, Marchei, Imai, Leonova

Would you look at that! Meite and Marchei made the both minimum TES! Good for them At first I thought it would be really difficult for female skaters to make it, but I think they are bringing their game to the rule.

I haven't double-checked, but I think Farris and Brown have actually made the Senior Worlds minimums in their JGPs (which of course covers them for everything under that including Junior Worlds).

Senior b scores also count for tes qualifying scores.

Lynn & Logan got their sd tes at Salt Lake, as did Chock & Bates. C&B got their FD score at their senior B. Hubbell &Donohue got their FDbut not their SD.

Thanks for compiling this. Is it wrong that I'm feeling nervous that [seemingly] so few skaters have met the minimums? Yes, it's only been a short time, but still.

Oh, many more have made it than what's in my first post. I hesitate to attempt a full list because I haven't gone through all of last season yet.

Many (basically most anyone who would be top 24 at Worlds) of the men have qualified. For ladies alone, I know USA- Zhang, Gold, Zawadzki, Czisny, Nagasu, Keiser, Long, Miller, Cesario, and Wang have made it in addition to Wagner and Gao. Russia has Lipnitskaya, Korobeinikova, Sotnikova, Tuktamysheva, Leonova, Shelepen, Radionova, and Biryukova definitely making it and maybe Makarova and Pogorilaya too. Japan has Miyahara, Asada, Murakami, and Suzuki among probably some others...CAN I think only has Kaetlyn but Amelie was very close. CHN has Zijun Li, Zhao, and Kexin Zhang. The Helgesson sisters from SWE have made it, along with HJ Kim, Weinzerl, Glebova, Kostner, Gedevanishvili, and Silete.

For Pairs- D/C and C/S for USA so far made it.
    CAN- MT/Moscovitch, Lawrence/Swiegers, Dube/Wolfe, Duhamel/Radford, Jones/Beharry, maybe another 1?
    RUS- Kavaguti/Smirnov, Volosozhar/Trankov, Bazarova/Larionov, Stolbova/Klimov, Fedorova/Miroshkin, P/Kurduykov
    JPN- Takahashi/Tran
    CHN- Pang/Tong, Sui/Han, Yu/Jin
    GER- Savchenko/Szolkowy, Hausch/Wende, FRA- James/Cipres, ITA- Berton/Hotarek

I was wondering if it might be made a sticky and moved to Gret Skate Debate, since it seems pretty important who makes it to worlds and not really that much of Trash Can topic?

Nice work! I agree with Ant that the thread should be in GSD.

Do Senior B scores count if they're from last season?

Yes, all ISU listed competitions counts (even if they do not count towards World Standing points).

I did this before the season started looking at last year's scores at all ISU events (including senior B's): http://icemusings.blogspot.com/2012/...at-worlds.html

The number of skaters who had qualified was better than I anticipated and there's lots of unexpected skaters as well but there are some countries that wouldn't be able to use all their slots.

I also did this update before Skate America: http://icemusings.blogspot.com/2012/...um-update.html

No new skaters met the Worlds minimum at Skate America.

Castelli & Shnapir certainly got high enough TES at Skate America to make the TES requirement:
    castelli /shnapir (28,45)
    30.59
    56.10

Where did they earn the TES needed earlier than SKAM?

Now this is what confuses me. Worlds before last doesn't count, but Nepala before the most recent one does Yes they can make any rule they want, though.

I guess that is because only the competition results since July 1st 2011 count?
