A. Mirai Nagasu's Junior World Record Short Program score (65.07 points-2008) is broken.
B. Caroline Zhang's margin of victory record for an isu event (53.60 points-2006 JGP Mexico) is broken.
C. Kim Yuna places lower than 3rd in a competition.
D. Kim Yuna is beaten by an American lady.

Personally, I think that Mirai's record could fall in the next 12 hours!

Kim might finish lower than third if she fails to keep up with the Russian ladies.

Ashley Wagner does stand a good chance of beating Kim if Kim skates badly.

Ironically enough, Ashley is the only one of the 2008ers who has not beaten Kim ina segment of competition yet.
Rachel Flatt beat Kim in the LP at the 2009 Skate America.
Caroline Zhang beat Kim in the SP at the 2007 Cup of China.
Mirai Nagasu beat Kim in the SP at the 2010 World Championships.

Caroline's record will probably never be broken.

I think Osmond has more possibilities to beat her than Gold, imo. don't think Wagner has the content technically to beat her, it would have to be a quite large number of errors for Yuna

Rochette placed 1st and Kim placed 3rd at the 2006 Skate Canada; this was Yu-Na's debut on the senior GP. Joannie (2nd) also placed ahead of Yu-Na (3rd) in the LP at the 2009 4CC, but overall, Kim won gold and Rochette won silver.

Well, Rachael Flatt (1st) did beat her (2nd) in the LP portion of the 2009 Skate America, but overall, Kim won and Flatt took 2nd. Kimmie Meissner (3rd) also beat her (4th) in the LP portion of the 2007 Worlds, but overall, Kim won bronze and Meissner was 4th.

All those examples of Yu Na being beaten by Rochette, Flatt et al in portions of GP events and not so major comps ... yeah, but who won the Olympic gold medal, and has a great chance at winning another? Not that I'm the hugest of Yu Na fans, but just sayin ...

I think lightning could strike and Kim could finish below third, but the odds of an asteroid destroying the whole planet are still better than the Canadian lady beating Kim.

Kim finishing below third is a real possibility, but a Canadian lady is more likely to get struck by lighting than beat Kim, even at her worst.

I love Kaetlyn and believe she can medal at Worlds someday, but not quite yet. Kim still has the skills, but she hasn't competed much in the last few years, and that could be a factor. Ballsy to come back for Worlds though.
