Japan wining featuring as bronze medalist in so many people prediction is interesting since their ice dance team $ucks and they don't have a pairs team that has competed international championships. Of course this is a wish list rather than reality so anything goes, but Japan wining team medal is the most out bizarre one.

I would take these results in 2 seconds!!!! hahah.

Rooting for Suzuki to go out with a bang and something she can be eternally proud of on top of all her other accomplishments.

    V/M I prefer to D/W. They're both amazing, that's just my preference.

But it is becoming more and more common among dancers to stop in the middle of the program. Shibutanis, Virtue-Moir, the French couple at junior worlds...that's three dance couples just within the last season. While I am not doubting that all three couples were injured, I don't think this is fair towards the couples who skated the program as a whole and not in two parts, while having break and drink of water in the middle. If they are so injured that they can't finish the program, they should withdraw. I know it is fault of the system and not the skaters, but this shouldn't be happening.

I agree it would be sad if they had to withdrew, but that's life. Some couples possibly couldn't go to that competition at all because they were injured, so why if someone is injured and decided to skate anyway should have any special consideration? Maybe soon it will get as far as the skaters bringing to the competition a sick note from their doctor and having special permission to skate a program in two parts with a break in between?

Just that sometimes it's not really an injury, but only a temporary condition which is not a consequence of some previous injury. For instance, Tessa Virtue had a leg cramp, and apparently was not entering the competition injured. It's true that probably her legs are more prone to cramping because of her previous problems with the compartment syndrome, but does it mean that she should have been penalized just as heavily as someone who entered the competition knowing that they are injured? Probably, but just because it's pretty much impossible to prove in that moment that it was not a previous injury.

Difficult to say, from sentimental point of view, there are too many skaters I'd like to see do well. Realistically speaking, there are a lot of medal contenders who could all make it to the podium (and be worthy of it), especially in the mens and ladies. When was the last time the skating fields were so deep?

Omigod, you HAD to ask this, so I'll just go right out there..

It's the night of the Men's freeskate, and the last skater has just finished, and everyone waits in hushed silence for his scores, when from the far end of the rink, Artur Gachinski charges onto the ice, A'La Dustin Hoffman in the church in "The Graduate". All eyes on him, he has me cue the PA system, where I'd just knocked out the sound guy and hijacked the overspeaker, and he skates the program of his life, doing all of his jumps higher and better than ever, spinning like a tornado (and they name this new spin "the Gachinski F-5") and ending with all guns blazing, winning, of course, the Gold medal!!!

We escape into the Russian night with his new hardware, just ahead of the pursuing Police...

Hey...you DID ask, right?? have fun guys!!
