And trailers for the other major movies coming out this quarter. Four stand out to me for different reasons. The two in green I really wanted to include in the poll, but they would not fit. The two in red are two of the worst looking movies I've seen in a while. So watch at your own risk! One common thread in many of the movies this quarter are those which use violence in some way, shape or form for people to get their way. I don't remember seeing so many violent trailers at the same time, it was quite depressing!

Am I alone in being surprised that there is no trailer for The Hangover III yet? There are some things on youtube, one supposed trailer is just someone standing up a small hill from a freeway shooting video of Zach Galifianakis driving by shooting a scene for the movie.

Not sure about the thriller with Abigail Breslin; I may see it if it's not too scary.

I think it's going to be intense, like a scene from a good Hitchcock movie. I'm quite looking forward to this one.

The Croods looks so beautiful. I think it's a movie I will enjoy regardless of the script just because on beauty alone it will be worthwhile. Anybody else think the look is inspired by Avatar? And Oblivion looks great, I also love those kinds of movies. There's another one coming out this summer with Will Smith that looks good as well. As for Star Trek, I goofed up with the first post in this thread and missed the trailer. Had to go find it at the last minute (before I got to go for lunch... ) and didn't really even watch the trailer, but continued posting instead because I want to see the movie so bad I don't even need to see what's in the trailer!

Just screened "Jack the Giant Slayer" and it was fantastic. I'm embargoed so I can't say more but Bryan Singer is definitely back.

Oh, "21 and Over" was hilarious but totally raunchy (tons of male nudity, particularly one unforgettable scene at the end). It's been a few weeks (saw it for the junket) but it was good laughs.

Next week I have screenings for "Oz," the new Ryan Reynolds movie I'm blanking on, and "Trance."

Iron Man 2 was pretty meh, but it looks like IM3 is going to be a darker story, and I like it dark, so I'm looking forward to that. And I'm definitely looking forward to Star Trek Into Darkness, because Cumberbatch.

I only picked Iron Man 3. I think I'd like to see the Call, but I'm not sure yet... looks like it could be good. Not a huge trekkie... not into horror... dont like Jim Carrey... not big on James Franco... I'm just very "meh" on all the trailers I've seen lately. Most of it looked like stuff I can wait for DVD.

Not that I'll see anything until it's on DVD, but...Curious about "Oz the Great and Powerful", looking forward to "Iron Man 3" as I love the Avengers films (which includes Iron Man 1&2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers so far), and REALLY excited about "Star Trek Into Darkness" because "Star Trek" turned me back into a Trekkie after being fatigued out of it by the old shows and post-VI movies going from mediocre to outright bad.

And I am intrigued by "Emperor", coming out on March 8, with Tommy Lee Jones as MacArthur.

I decided to see if I could rank the movies in the poll according to how much I want to see them. Had no idea I was such a sci-fi geek!

1. Oblivion - Not only does this one look interesting, but with the CGI being so good these days, movie look so beautiful to watch. I loved the visual look of Prometheus and this one looks to be just as good if not better. Looks like it has a bit of a suspense/thriller edge to it...and MORGAN FREEMAN! And Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is okay to look at.

2. Star Trek Into Darkness - I remember seeing this in the theatre and being so disappointed....that it ended. I have waited very patiently since then. I am prepared for part two.

3. The Call - This one just look so well directed. And I love movies with a strong female heroine. Barry looks equal parts intelligent/compassionate/potentially kick-ass in this one. I hope it does well because I really enjoy her and her career has been in a bit of a slump for a while.

4. Oz the Great and Powerful - I started plugging this one ever since I saw the first trailer. Another beautiful stunner...plus an amazing cast. It'll be interesting to see to what degree it can become a classic like it's 1939 companion piece. But it's not a musical, right? So that'll probably keep it from reaching the heights of it's predecessor.

5. Pain and Gain - I already talked about this one at the end of the last thread. Rebel...Jeong...bulgin' biceps - I'm ready!

6. Admission - A really great trailer and Eugene Levy's sexy geek-chic son, Dan. Don't believe me? Click on this link!

7. Incredible Burt Wonderstone - This one looks hilarious as well. But the best part of it might be the bloopers reel. Carrel is (in)famous for breaking up while filming. And I'm sure that Carrey has got what it'd take to mike Steve pee himself! If you see this in the theatre, stay and watch the end credits to see if they share any of this with us...of leave it for the DVD.

8. Scary Movie 5 - I'm usually not into the parody movies too much. I'm sure I have only seen a few of the prequels, but the trailer for this one was so good, I had to add it to my list. Plus a lot of interesting cameos and a lot of poking fun at the Paranormal Activity movies (which I looooove), so this one has a lot of potential.

DYING to see how Gatsby turns out. It drove me nuts when they pushed the date back!

And I usually see most of the superhero movies with a good friend of mine who's into them, so I'll probably see Iron Man at some point.

The rocks that the girl climbed on really reminded me of Avatar... But I think the Crood's world is more colourful and whimsical

I have great hope for Oblivion... Maybe it will top my favourite Tom Cruise movie, Minority Report

I finally watched Midnight In Paris on Netflix last night, I really liked it. I'm not usually a fan of Owen Wilson but he was quite good. I liked how it was shot as well. Although the yellow filter was a bit much sometimes it wasn't to insanely distracting. I'll probably buy it on Blu-ray when the price drops a bit more.
