I'm not sure that it is as much a matter of pain -- if you continue to aggravate it, the tendon can rupture, turning it into a much bigger issue.
(She has my sympathy. It is an incredibly hard injury to really get past. Took me a good three years, and even so I get twinges which cause me to back right off.)
hope she will get better soon and will be healthy enough to get to compete next year
(((Kiira))) So sorry to hear this. Such a shame for her and Finland.
Hang in there, Kiira! Wishing her the best.
NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOO!
Please get well soon Kiira.
(((My favourite current lady out)))
Oh, that's so sad . She performed at 'Art on Ice' in Helsinki recently, so I thought that perhaps she'll be fine enough by Worlds. And I was really looking forward to seeing her in the mix with other top ladies at Worlds. But it's so much sadder for her than for any of us.
Rockin' Finnish commentator: "And that was supposed to be a flip but it turned out to be a flop."
Kiira will be missed.
I hope that she will be able to recover in time for her to participate in the Olympics.
I can totally understand as my tendinitis is also far from being over...
She will be missed this year.
I am in the K&C at the 1980 Olympics telling Frank Carroll he will have a male skater from KAZ with a 4T, 3A-3T and a World Silver going into the 2014 Olympics ...
Too bad. I hope she can get fully recovered for next season.

Ack. I was really starting to appreciate her skating this year too.
Sad for Kiira.
