I think it's more like Sarah Hughes = Yuzuru Hanyu and Kevin Reynolds=Yoshie Onda.

I can't think of anybody else with an axel technique worse than him. Fleur Maxwell perhaps.

    Sincerely,

Nadine White (whom noticed it from the 1st time I saw him skate in the Fall of 2009)

ps: check out his "Over the Rainbow" exhibition skate from a few seasons ago. To me this is Kevin's signature skate. It's him....

^^ From the past, Lipinski, and also Lysacek's axel technique isn't all that, but he tended to get the job done in competition.

This is a thread similar to that Osmond-challenging-Kim thread I saw a couple weeks ago. It's based off the results of one competition where the other skater wasn't even present. As with Osmond and Kim, Reynolds and Chan are at different levels of skating where the latter shows much more flow, grace, and control of edges across the ice. I don't know how to put it in words exactly but I practically stop breathing when I watch Kim or Chan through their long or short programs: it's so mesmerizing. It's just not like that with Osmond or Reynolds though maybe that'll change in a year or two.

Anyway, I don't think Reynolds will be able to overtake Chan for the number one spot in Canada so long as Chan is competing. Perhaps after Chan retires?
