I must be the worst person in the world because all those messages that people post on Facebook saying if you don't share you are a horrible person, you don't care about anyone, you are incredibly selfish and you will go to hell - well I don't share them on.

These are the people that twenty years ago sent out chain letters and ten years ago sent out e-mail messages. They are the people who now, then, and always, will be nosy and gossipy and try to browbeat others into getting their way.

Ignore them, "unfriend" them, do what you want, but don't let them get to you. They have the problem, not you.

those posts are almost always info fishing scams. Not saying that your friends are doing the scam, but by "sharing" the post, they are perpetuating the scam. The messaging deliberately tries to make people feel bad.

My favorites are when people post those but they are Christian or Religious in nature. If I don't share then I don't think Jesus died for my sins. Well, I don't...I think all religion is a bunch of CRAP but you don't see me posting that to your wall, do you?

I ignore those kinds of posts and refrain from informing my less computer savvy family members that they really don't HAVE to reshare those.The world will not end,they are not a cold heartless person and they will not go to Hell.

What are people talking about? When I look at my parents' FB page, they get posts about restaurants people have eaten, vacations people have taken and pictures about their pets.

I do ignore them but I am so tempted to write a post saying "For all those people who think I should share all those stupid facebook posts saying that I am utter bastard if I don't, a pox on you all. And please don't start a post saying that if you support those with pox, please share because otherwise you will get pox."
